2079 started on a good note and that brought much peace to Diamond, who knew how terrible it would be for them in less than a month.

After watching the fireworks display, Diamond, Ruby and Kian returned to the villa with smiles pasted on their face.

When they returned, the old couple weren’t sleeping but watching the New Year shows on TV.

After wishing everyone a happy new year, they all dispersed and went to their respective rooms.

It was a beautiful morning and Diamond was in no hurry to overwork herself, so she went to bed as soon as she was done refreshing.

Kian felt very warm as he listened to the elders constantly showing concern about him and how he should take care of himself well once he returned.

In the past few days, Kian had experienced so much love from his lover’s parents that he didn’t want to go.

However, there were more pressing matters that needed to be attended to. He didn’t dare delay otherwise, who knows how much loss he would suffer.

It wasn’t like Diamond would go somewhere he could reach.

That night, Diamond spent the night in Kian’s room however, unlike what most people would think, the two were innocent and didn’t dare act on their feelings.

The next morning, everyone in the family woke up very early.

Belinda prepared breakfast for everyone so that Kian wouldn’t feel isolated. After filling their stomachs, Kian left with Diamond, who would be sending him to the airport.

After informing Carl what she wanted, she ended the call and concentrated on the road.

When Diamond reached home, she didn’t go out again but rested in her room as she looked at her Ioniq account and checked how her account was faring.

Although they had been attracted by money, seeing the figures made her very happy.

Later that evening, Diamond received a phone call, and it was from the security team that she had assigned to stay with her parents in Taco.

They had arrived in Taco and since she had forgotten about them earlier, she simply instructed them to hire two Ubers to bring them to the villa.

With the team secure in the Ubers, all she needed to do was wait for them.

While she did so, she went downstairs, where she saw her parents watching another program on TV.

"Um. You are done with your work?" Ruby puzzledly asked upon seeing Diamond who had vanished for a few hours.

Diamond knocked her sister’s head before sitting down smugly.

"Big sis!" Ruby sulkily complained as she looked at her shameless sister who loved bullying her at times.
