"Have you packed everything?" Diamond asked as she looked at Ruby, who was standing in the living room surrounded by several suitcases.
"Um. This is everything. If there is more, I will just come back and pick them up!" Ruby replied as she looked around, just to be sure of what she was saying.
Seeing that Ruby was certain, Diamond nodded before urging, "Let’s set off then. We don’t want to be late!"
Shortly after that, every one helped to carry the suitcases and bags to the cars waiting outside.
Ruby was taking the Cagda with her, leaving her old car and Diamond and Garnet escorting Ruby to the studio where she would be staying while going to school were taking Diamond’s Arcadelle.
After putting all the bags in the cars, Ruby bid farewell to Janet and the two hugged for a bit before separating.
Shortly after, Janet watched with a dejected expression as the most expressive person in the house was going away.
"I will miss her greatly!" she could only say as she watched the cars going further away.
Ruby was driving in the front while Diamond’s car being driven by Garnet was following behind.
Garnet wasn’t a talkative person and so wasn’t Diamond. So, there wasn’t anyone talking except for the music being played on the radio.
Holding her phone in hand, Diamond was busy checking the information on the four endorsements some companies wanted to give her.
Garnet was pretty good at her job that in one night she had found all relevant information from the time when the companies were opened to that day.
A lot of endorsers had always gotten themselves into hot soup simply because they didn’t do any detailed investigations on what they would be representing.
For example, today a star endorses a product which makes the skin glow and is good for the skin but sometime later, some news then comes out, mentioning how the products were bad for the skin and how they are making people sick and so forth.
When such news breaks out, not only the company producing such products would be on fire, but the person who made everyone, or the consumers, convinced that everything was fine.
The impact on the endorser, who was definitely doing everything just for money, wouldn’t be less than the company.
Sometimes the problems might not be caused by the products in question but by the people representing the products themselves.
Although Diamond didn’t want to endorse anything from other companies which weren’t hers, she couldn’t help but want to give it a try. After all, if she gets famous through some works, wouldn’t this cement the foundation of her future endorsements?
When she starts endorsing her own products in the future, the reception will definitely be good.
It was all a guess, but who knows, miracles tend to happen after all.
So, on the way to the studio apartment, she was busy and after going through four of them quickly, she couldn’t help but sigh.
What should she do?
Maybe she should ponder over it for a while before concluding. As for how impatient the companies would be, that wasn’t her concern.
[DING! Do you want to sign in?]
As she was lost in her thoughts, her favorite system emerged.
[DING! You have been rewarded with *20 restoration salves.]
[Restoration salve – restore damaged skin tissue and promote healthy skin growth. Can be used on scars, burns and skin injuries.]
Diamond smiled upon seeing her baby sister’s reaction. Ruby might not know the other, but she, on the other hand, still had some awareness of her.
"Your memory is pretty good! I am pretty amazed!" Diamond complimented as she removed her little sister from the equation.
When the girl heard that, her eyes brightened up as the person she had recognized still remembered her as well.
How could she not be happy?
"You ... haha, it’s really you! I heard from the other neighbors that you dropped by the other day and moved in. I was looking forward to seeing you!" the girl excitedly spoke as she looked at Diamond with sparkling eyes.
Diamond smiled as she felt warmth from the girl’s enthusiasm.
"Eugene, right!"
"Yes, that’s my name." Eugene clapped her hands excitedly, her eyes seeing Diamond only. "Big sis, are you moving in now?"
"No, it’s not me. My baby sister will be staying here!" Diamond shook her head before pointing at Ruby, who was wearing a pair of black shorts plus another foundation’s red t-shirt.
When Eugene heard that, she turned to look at the young girl who held similarities with Diamond and lit up suddenly.
"You guys really look alike!" Eugene exclaimed as her focus shifted to Garnet who stood there expressionless.
"That’s why we are sisters!" Diamond joked upon seeing that Eugene didn’t carry any malicious thoughts towards them.
Eugene scratched her nose embarrassingly before saying, "Hehe, sis, we can continue to talk once the bags are settled. Can I have your number?"
