"Then, am I allowed to invest as well?" seeing that she was losing track of what she was talking about, after seeing that smile, Sullivan asked seriously, after all, he knew that Diamond wasn’t the kind of person to say things for the sake of it.
Diamond hearing that, her grin widened as she nodded her head joyfully, completely opposite of what she had a moment ago.
"Um, but not for free. Just because we are lovers doesn’t guarantee you a free ride!" she said as she agreed.
Sullivan patted her head with a smile and said, "Then I will be relying on you in the future!" his expression was sincere.
Seeing that, Diamond hurriedly nodded her head, loving where this was going.
The four seeing how fast and easy it was for Diamond to change her mood from being serious and gloomy to all shine, didn’t know what to think anymore.
However, one thing was for certain, Sullivan loved the girl although it wasn’t certain what Diamond’s true feelings for him were like.
"When are you starting?" Peter who had been silent the longest, asked as he straightened his legs.
With him asking, the others joined in. Just like that, the topic fully changed, and the room was filled with more laughter and the depressing atmosphere was gone.
Diamond didn’t continue to press Linda since she had offended her earlier. In fact, she understood a bit why Linda did what she did. If she was Linda, she would have been worried as well. After all, it wasn’t every day that people get to see such relationships like the one she has with Kian and Sullivan.
However, what she didn’t dare forgive was having another woman having intentions towards what was hers openly like that. On top of that, she had the guts to malign her in front of others. How could she be calm?
Nevertheless, after venting out her frustrations, she was fine, so the need to continue troubling Linda was gone.
"How long will you be here?" after a few drinks, everyone was in a good mood, and Chris couldn’t help but ask Diamond who was still sober despite all the drinks that went down her throat.
"Um, around 1 or 2 February. Why are you asking?" Diamond answered after pondering for a moment.
Upon hearing that, Chris’s eyes lit up.
"That’s good then. You are a very funny person; I want to hear more stories from you!"
Sullivan scoffed at his friend’s response. "She is here to see me and not have fun with you!"
"Umph, says a workaholic who can’t even take a rest!"
"You .... Stop it, you two!"
"Haha, I can show you around and at the same time hear more about this trading company of yours. I am curious to see if I can make money from you or will be lost!"
Diamond’s lips curled upwards as she responded, "I have never done a business that brings a loss. That is not how I am programmed."
"You are truly full of confidence, aren’t you?"
"If you are not, then you will be crushed. Don’t you know so?"
"Indeed, I can’t refute on that."
To think that Diamond who had been in Dielas for a couple of days received an invitation from such a lady, how couldn’t he be taken aback?
"Baby, you .... When did you get it?" he asked, unable to comprehend when it happened.
He was with her all this time and the previous day and didn’t meet anyone. So how did she receive an invitation?
"Hehe, my friend extended the invitation earlier. She is the one who called. I was going to tell you later after we are done here!" she said her voice soothing and pacifying.
Hearing that, Sullivan felt that her words made sense. After all, there was no need for her to hide it from him and more so to tell him that in public. It just doesn’t seem right.
"Okay, I get it!" he said with a nod, to show his understanding.
Diamond grinned at him before looking at the other four.
"Since it’s like, then I guess we will be meeting each other!" with a grim smile on her face, Linda said.
"I guess we are fated!" Diamond said with a chuckle before she started responding to Chris’s questions which never seemed to end.
It was around midnight when the small party finally ended.
Sitting in the car as the car drove away, Diamond smiled mysteriously as she looked forward.
’Things are getting more interesting, I see!’
