Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 421

**Chapter 421: The Misunderstanding**

Silas nestled his face into the soft curve of Emma’s neck, inhaling deeply as if trying to absorb every essence of her being. His voice, thick with emotion and barely a whisper, trembled as he implored, “More, please…”

But then, the tranquility of their moment shattered with a series of sharp knocks echoing against the door. Silas’s body tensed, the warmth in his gaze extinguished, replaced by a simmering irritation and disappointment at the unwelcome interruption.

Who could it possibly be?

What kind of impeccable timing did they possess to choose this precise moment to knock?

Silas felt a surge of frustration; he was far from finished, not even close to satiating his desires. With a desperate grip, he tightened his arms around Emma, his voice dropping to a near whine as he continued, “Emy, I want marks like the ones you gave Lucien… Won’t you reward me too?”

Emma, caught in a whirlwind of emotions, silently pleaded for patience.

Silas, are you really asking for that now, with someone literally knocking on the door? You might be able to disregard all semblance of shame, but I cannot!

With a firm resolve, she pushed Silas away, her eyes narrowing into a fierce glare.

“Maybe some other time. Go freshen up. I need to answer the door.”

“No!”

Silas’s grip tightened around her wrist, his big blue eyes pleading with an intensity that made her heart flutter despite the situation.

“Emy, don’t open the door.” His fingers curled around her wrist, a desperate lifeline. “Just this once, break the rules for me. Please?”

He lowered his head, brushing his cheek against the back of her hand, nuzzling it tenderly as if it were the most precious thing in the world. “This is my only chance. Once Remy wakes up, I’ll have to wait another three years.”

He wasn’t talking about three days or even three months. No, it was three long, agonizing years.

“Three. Godforsaken. Years.”

“Emy, please. I won’t survive that long.”

Emma felt a pang of sympathy as she looked at him, unable to push him away when he was being so utterly vulnerable.

Fine. If he chose to endure the walk of shame later, then so be it.

With newfound determination, she pushed Silas onto the bed, yanked his collar wide open, and sank her teeth into his collarbone, leaving a mark that would surely be visible.

Just then, the sound of the door clicking open echoed in the room.

Marcus stood on the threshold, and the sight that greeted him was nothing short of scandalous.

In a swift motion, he stepped back, closing the door with a soft thud, clearly taken aback by the scene he had just witnessed.

Damn Silas and his uncanny speed for a plant etherian!

Inside the confines of her room, Emma felt a rush of heat flood her cheeks, the embarrassment of being caught was overwhelming.

She stared at the fresh hickey on Silas’s collarbone, her glare sharp enough to cut through steel. “Are you happy now?”

Marcus had undoubtedly seen more than he ever wanted to.

Emma felt an overwhelming urge to throw herself out of the window, wishing to disappear into the very depths of the earth.

Silas, however, felt the dampness of the bruise on his skin and beamed at her, nodding enthusiastically. “Thank you, Emy.”

Yet, despite his cheerful demeanor, a part of him felt unfulfilled.

He was aware of his limits, understanding that pushing Emma further would send her into a spiral of frustration.

After all, he had no choice but to look after Remy while others indulged in their freedom. Even if Remy didn’t wake up tonight, it wouldn’t change the fact that he would still be on the sidelines.

Silas reached out, quickly adjusting Emma’s clothing, making sure she looked presentable.

Then he turned to fix his own attire, trying to regain some semblance of normalcy.
