SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God novel Chapter 133

Chapter 133: They are always summoning crap

It had only been a few minutes, but the trio had completely licked clean an entire cavern floor worth of ice orcs and frost warlords! They must have taken down at least 60 big guys in total!

Damon’s grin widened as he surveyed the wreckage. Dozens of frost orc warlords lay strewn across the battlefield, their icy armor now nothing more than smoldering husks. The air stank of blood, smoke, and victory.

"Looks like we’ve hit the motherlode," Damon muttered and ran a hand through his hair, leaving streaks of blood behind. "The vampire hall is going to get that upgrade soon."

Mark came up beside him, cracking his knuckles and grinning despite the frost clinging to his hair and armor.

Kate joined them, her staff still glowing faintly with residual blood magic. She looked out over the battlefield, her expression equal parts proud and amazed. "That was... intense," she breathed. "And fun," she added with a grin. "We should do this more often."

Damon laughed. "Fun, she says." He started walking out back in the thick of the swirling snowstorm. "This is only the first cavern. There are still five more like this. Let’s go." He quickly started jumping down the mountain wall, his claws having no problem finding grip in the slippery frozen hell.

The second cavern popped up soon enough, and another group of orcs stared at them with burning anger. Damon responded with a grin and right away went all out. The rest of the group could show up at any moment now and then his style would become cramped. It was best to clear out as many orcs as he could before those prying eyes arrived.

Mark and Kate soon joined him, and the three once again started their slaughter. This group was also composed mostly of ice orcs and frost warlords, and the three of them cleared out the cavern, just as before.

Damon continued climbing down the mountain, and soon they hit the third base of the ice orcs. This one was a little different. Aside from ice orcs and frost warlords, there were also ice orc shamans. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

Mark frowned as they approached the new cavern’s entrance, the bitter wind swirling around them in angry gusts. "I hate shamans," he muttered, cracking his knuckles and watching runes dance across his skin.

"They’re always summoning crap. Straightforward face smashing and gut punching is the way to go." Grumbling, he dashed in. However, there was an unmistakable glee in his eyes that said he was definitely going to enjoy this fight.

Seeing him, Kate shook her head helplessly and started tossing out blood orbs. "Boys will be boys," She chukled, and then she wondered why the other boy hadn’t run in yet and started smashing things up.

Damon still stood at the cavern’s edge, peering into the gloom. "Hmmm. There is something interesting here."

"What are you talking about?" Kate asked curiously. She followed his gaze and saw the treasure chest that was in the corner of the cavern, guarded by two warlords.

Damon then shifted his attention back to the shamans who had started mass chanting. "They’re getting ready to call something big. Let’s break their little ritual before it gets interesting."

With a nod, Damon blurred into the cavern, his shadow clone splitting off to flank the shaman circle. He moved like liquid darkness, his dagger carving arcs of crimson and black.

Massive horns curved from its forehead like frozen daggers, and its eyes burned with a malevolent blue glow. Its voice thundered like an avalanche. "Who dares slaughter my children?"

[Frostbound Yeti King, Level 80 – Boss Monster]

"Perfect. Let’s see how much blood essence a boss like this can give me." Damon shadow-stepped forward, and his crimson fire lance appeared in his hand.

The frostbound yeti king roared, its arms spreading wide as jagged ice spears shot from the ground, threatening to skewer them all.

Damon ducked and weaved like a phantom, his shadow clone splitting off to harry the monster’s flanks. Mark barreled in, fists blazing, meeting the yeti king’s swing with a crushing blow of his own.

Kate was completely unaffected as she stood on the side and kept tossing chunky blood orbs at the boss. She had only one attack skill and one barrier skill, and she used that extremely well, maximizing the output.

Under the combined assault of all three of them, the yeti’s health rapidly dropped. The big guy’s roar deepened, and ice chains erupted from the floor, wrapping around Damon’s legs. For a moment, the beast loomed over him, its icy breath steaming like a glacier cracking open.

Then the yeti swung his club, a huge torrent of icy wind following behind it like a frozen hurricane.
