For a moment it looked like all sorts of mayhem was going to explode but once again Aiden only needed to raise his hand. Like well-trained dogs, the six cloaked figures froze in place, their killing intent retreating just enough to keep the air from tearing open.
Aiden’s smile never faltered. "That’s what I like about you, Blood God. Even when you’re staring down certain death, you bark louder than anyone else. It’s foolish, bold and reckless... but it makes people hesitate. Hesitation wins battles."
Damon’s eyes glinted dangerously. "Cut the pretty speeches, dude. I didn’t come here for compliments. Where’s my gold? Do we have a deal or not?"
Aiden finally flicked his wrist, and the system chimed.
[Ding! Trade Request: 2,500,000,000 Gold Coins.]
Damon tried his best to remain indifferent but he was still shocked to his very core. At most he expected 50 or 100 million gold coins from this encounter. Perhaps even a couple more hundred million coins. But to simply throw the entire 2.5 billion at him... he was totally speechless.
Just how powerful was this guy? To throw around this kind of money, he probably should have influence over all of the super ten guilds. How is something like that possible?
The super ten might stand unitedly in some aspects but basically they originate from different different countries. It was impossible for all those world leaders with all the different countries, each with a massive ego to boot to cooperate and respect a single guy like this!
Forget world leaders. What about these top inhumanly talented players? What kind of a person could command this sort of respect from them?
And this bastard had acted like a peasant and become all chummy chummy with him in his last life. All to take Blood Reign from him? It had to be because of Blood Reign and this bloodline he had managed to acquire.
This guy was after his primordial bloodline right from the very beginning!
The glowing number hovered between them like a living thing. Damon swallowed all of his thoughts and his theories and calmly asked. "How many vials do you need in return?"
Aiden laughed. He looked pretty satisfied with the dumb-founded expression on Damon’s face. "Not as many as you fear. Just a few will do... let’s say two hundred. Three hundred at most." He smiled that infuriating smile again. "Considering what one vial fetched at the auction, this is more than fair, isn’t it?"
"Fair, huh? So you want enough poison to bring down a small army, but you still act like you’re being generous. Interesting math you’ve got there."
"Think of it as an investment, Blood God. You get the funds to build your little empire, and I get insurance against your empire. A trade. Simple. Efficient. Mutually beneficial."
Damon chuckled, though his eyes hardened. "So you are telling me that you can end me any time you want."
