Chapter 360: There is a lot of movement, my lord

When Damon finally leaned back again, fully relaxed and utterly spent, it had already been several hours and many happy endings had come and gone.

Erin rested nearby, her expression one of quiet triumph. Her soft body was still hugging him tightly, her chest pressed against him. She was ready for another round.

Damon chuckled and pushed her to his back. "Get back to massaging and no more naughty business." If he could, he would do this all day but the time for relaxation was over and there was a lot left to be done.

He opened the message Ellora had sent him a few minutes ago which made him put a stop to the many ’massage’ treatments.

[There is a lot of movement, my lord. I hear the nobles talk about something huge. If my information is correct, then the mages of the city are helping someone tomorrow. In about ten hours, something huge is happening.]

Damon’s crimson eyes narrowed. "A sudden development right after I gave them my spit? Coincidence?" He chuckled. "Well, this is perfect. It gives me the perfect opportunity to fuck those assholes until they cannot recover."

His mind went somewhere else and his little general became ready for action again but Damon immediately put those thoughts away.

He leaned back against the crystal edge of the pool, thinking of the recent developments. His mind raced far sharper than his languid posture suggested.

The poison he gave Aiden and that group was real, potent, devastating. That much was undeniable. If he had tampered with it immediately, Aiden would have sensed it. He would have sniffed out the scheme like a viper and pulled the deal apart before it even started.

No, Damon knew better. He needed patience. He needed the perfect stage, the exact moment when the poison was displayed for use, when the smug bastards thought themselves untouchable. That would be the moment he reached in and twisted the knife. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Normally, something like this would be impossible. They could be anywhere in this world, doing anything. He did not have the resources to keep track of them and find each and every one of their identities, let alone their location.

Damon knew he was over-reaching but he had a feeling that he could somehow make it possible. Considering the timing of everything, there was only one place Aiden and the others would most probably use his poison and that was withing that gate of hell.

It was a gamble. And now things had worked out just like he had expected.

"Ten hours," Damon murmured, stretching his arms across the edge of the pool like a king reclining on his throne. "That’s all the time I need to prepare for the show."

He stood up to get out of blood bath, mulling over many things in his head. When he turned around, he suddenly noticed many women walk in and stand in his personal chamber, bowing their heads.

These young women had barely any clothing on them and had a hollow look in their eyes. The one thing common about them was that they were all good to look at. Perhaps not as stunning as Erin or Kate or Aurora or any of the other women in his life. But they were quite pleasing to the eyes.
