As Kyle stood in front of the gigantic flame, he felt the surroundings cooling significantly.
On his journey through the Tertiary World, he had come across farts (Yin-Fire) from time to time, but the Yin-Fire here acted quite differently.
The Yin-Fire in the Tertiary World was mostly present near the Winterfire Empire's headquarters.
There was a small well of Yin-Fire that came out of a mountain. It encompassed a bit of the mountain, but it wasn't nearly this big.
Additionally, the Yin-Fire was mostly peaceful. It acted more like a big campfire.
Meanwhile, the Yin-Fire in front of Kyle was aggressive and brutal.
In short, it was way more intense and powerful.
The cold of the Yin-Fire spread throughout Kyle's entire body, creating a couple of frostbites.
'For fuck's sake. I thought I would get some relief from the pain of the Sin Flames, but this just feels like more burning.'
Kyle blinked a couple of times as he got an idea.
'It feels like burning, but it's also a bit different. What if I make the pain more intense and contrast it with the burning pain of the Sin Flames? Maybe that can help me in comprehending the Law.'
Kyle scratched the back of his head before shrugging. 'Sure, why not? Just gotta be careful not to die.'
He slowly approached the fire, and the pain intensified.
Usually, Kyle would use the intensity of the pain to gauge how severe the injuries he was receiving were, but his perception of pain had been completely skewed by the Sin Flames.
So, Kyle just stopped from time to time and looked at his Ether.
At some point, his Ether was dropping quicker than it was recovering, which told him that he had reached the limit of his recovery abilities.
He took a couple of steps back and watched his Ether some more.
'Yep, that seems just right,' he thought as he looked at his body.
His skin and flesh were turning blue, white, and purple.
His arms and legs were dying and regenerating constantly.
'You know, I'm actually lucky that I know the Fragment of Organs. Otherwise, I couldn't recover this quickly. The stronger the pain, the easier the comprehension.'
'Surprisingly, the pain is still a bit weaker than the Sin Flames.'
'Yeah, well, it's the best it's going to get.'
Finally, Kyle closed his eyes and focused on the Yin-Fire.
Almost immediately, several lines and numbers appeared in Kyle's mind.
After so much Law Comprehension, Kyle was perceiving Ether in a different way. He had never been a person who liked math, but after he saw that one Law Comprehension test in Theodor's Inheritance Crypt as an equation, he just kept going with it.
Math seemed to work rather well when it came to making sense of Laws.
Kyle had never truly studied math in depth. Most of the math-stuff he came up with was organically produced in his own brain with his own logic.
There was a big chance that several of the conclusions about math he came to were incorrect, but it had worked pretty well so far.
The first thing Kyle focused on was Yin-Fire's composition.
'The Base Fragment of the Yin-Elements is most likely the new one they receive. At least, that's how it's been with Yin-Lightning and Yin-Metal so far.'
'That means the Fragment of Composition shouldn't be so hard.'
Over the next months, Kyle focused on the composition, and as suspected, it wasn't that complex.
Kyle had already comprehended Yin-Metal in the Tertiary World, and he had also already comprehended a pretty strong Complex Law.
Yin-Metal had taken him almost a hundred years to comprehend, but with the denser Ether around him, the greater abundance of the Element, and the strong pain Kyle was in, comprehending Yin-Fire shouldn't take that long.
As expected, just seven years later, Kyle comprehended the Fragment of Yin-Fire Composition.
