When the Initiates heard Lady Arrowstrife's words, they became terrified.
Yet, while their emotions had been in sync for a short moment, they started to differ very quickly.
Some of them remained terrified and fled.
Some of them grew angry.
Some of them became serious.
"Don't flee!" one of them shouted as he pulled out a gigantic sword. "This is our second chance! He's in the same Realm as us! It's 500 against one!"
Yet, before he could even finish his words, a bit over 200 of them either fled into the distance or took to the sky.
These were not unrivaled geniuses.
Yes, in their Tertiary Worlds, they had been at the peak for a while, but which Transcendent hadn't been at the peak for the ten seconds before their forced Ascension?
One had to remember that not all Tertiary Worlds had been as crippled as the one Kyle had been in.
For many worlds, new Transcendents were born every decade.
The people standing in front of Kyle were good enough to become Transcendents, but they were not good enough to get through the Initiate bootcamp.
When they had lost, their ego and Momentum had taken a huge hit.
They lacked confidence in themselves.
The person who had shouted was one of the most powerful ones.
One had to remember that every Initiate got someone of equal power as an enemy twice.
This meant that number one in the group wasn't fighting number one-hundred but number two.
Then, the new number one would receive the new number two as an enemy.
The person who had shouted had once been the second number two, which meant he had won his initial fight and then lost in the second one while fighting the strongest in the group.
He was not weak.
Yet, while he still had confidence in his power, almost half of the group had no confidence, which was why they tried to flee.
However, another 200 Transcendents went to the guy to form a defensive group.
The remaining 100 didn't know what they should do.
The man with the humongous sword summoned his Ether.
It was the Ether of a Complex Law.
BANG!
Under the shocked eyes of everybody, the man turned into bloody chunks as a hammer moved through him.
Kyle's attack had been so fast that nobody had even managed to react.
Yes, the man had had a Complex Law, but it was a Mixed-Element Complex Law made of two Yang-Elements.
Even more, he had condensed it after he had already become a Transcendent, which meant it was not inherently supported by his Core Spark. It was essentially a Level 1.5 Complex Law.
Kyle had an inherent Level Two Complex Law, which was pushed to a Level 2.5 Complex Law by his Core Spark.
His top speed was two times higher than the man's top speed, and his acceleration was over 20 times faster due to his Body Fragments.
The man had been the only one who had seen Kyle's attack coming, but his body simply hadn't been fast enough.
His sword had moved just a couple of centimeters before the hammer hit him.
As soon as the surrounding people noticed what had happened, they split again.
Half of them launched attacks at Kyle, while the other half joined the fleeing people.
At that moment, Kyle activated his Momentum.
The fleeing people slowed down, and the attacking people became chaotic.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Kyle killed the three most troublesome enemies first.
All of them had condensed Complex Laws.
As far as he could tell, based on his instincts and the power of their Momentum, the others didn't have Complex Laws.
The group became more chaotic yet again, and fewer than 20 people remained who tried to resist Kyle.
After avoiding some attacks, Kyle launched a couple of attacks of his own and dealt with the 20 people.
The remainder were the fleeing ones.
