Submitting To My Stepbrothers novel Chapter 36

Chapter 3

“This is a lumberjack festival.” Nate said with excitement. “I’ve

always wanted to go to one.” I looked around unamused. This

was the last place I wanted to be, but I pushed aside my

annoyance with the thought that I’d get my chance with Nate

later.

There were large men walking around with axes, and some with chainsaws carving into large logs of wood. I couldn’t deny that some of the men’s scruffiness was actually attractive.

I’d never need Nate so excited, or maybe I just hadn’t paid

attention till now, but it was nice seeing just how much fun he could actually be.

chainsaw and turned it on. It was powerful and it shook my

hands, but luckily he held on tight as well as he guided me. As

the chainsaw came in contact with the wood it became harder

to handle, but I held on tight. The lumberjack helped lead the

chainsaw in a small pattern that he’d already marked, and the

pieces of wood fell to the ground.

After a couple passes he helped turn the chainsaw off and took

it from my hands.

There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me.” I said with a

enough Nate brought us back to the cabin. When we got back
