Chapter 2139: Universe’s Authority.

"I wasn’t planning on facing Infinities anyways, so you do not have to worry, my caring Father in law~"

Nux answered with a big smile on his face,

A smile that made Azriel feel the urge to enter his Universe and slap him.

The Vampire, however, had much better control over his emotions than most beings, so he quickly calmed himself for his daughter’s sake and—

[What do you mean? How are you going to ’slap the Infinities’ then?]

He questioned.

It was much more important to know what this crazy fool was planning in order to make sure he was safe in all scenarios.

After all, no matter how much he hated the boy, for the sake of his daughter, he could not let him die.

"That was just a figure of speech obviously."

Nux answered with a smile.

[Nux, explain to me before I come there.]

Azriel threatened, his mouth twitching in annoyance.

It had been a while since he had felt this much frustration, the boy truly had the knack of getting on anyone’s nerves.

"Right right..."

Not wanting to lose his life just now, Nux began explaining everything.

These past few decades, Azriel only cared about cultivating, so he pretty much had no clue what had happened.

Nux explained to him how Zylarith targeted his wives when they were on their mission, how he found out about Sharnoth, how he learned Sharnoth’s truth and what happened to her. Then he started explaining how they faced the Supreme Borns, how he suspected that the Infinities saw Sharnoth and how they must have connected her with the Leander Family.

He talked about how they might be after him and Vexarion, Sharnoth’s enemy, was a bait that they had set to capture them.

So Nux’s plan was to get his hands on Vexarion, who was being indirectly protected by the Infinities, essentially slapping their face.

Of course, it went without saying that he would only be doing this when what he was thinking comes out to be true.

The explanation alone took about three hours, even though it was heavily briefed. Azriel kept asking questions in between, raising his eyebrows in doubt at other times. Once Nux was done, the Vampire only had one question...

[So you can now defeat Eternals...?]

"That is correct. I defeated two Supreme Born Eternals, the rest shouldn’t be more difficult, according to their memories, they were quite strong."

Nux answered with a shrug, as if he couldn’t see how these beings were ’strong’.

He questioned, his grin widening as he spoke more words.

"Doesn’t that mean there is no point in us sparring against each other? There is no way you can win when you can’t even defeat ’mere’ Eternals."

He couldn’t.

After all, it was true.

He cannot defeat Eternals, let alone Supreme Born Eternals who can easily be called few of the strongest Eternals in all of Universe.

The Vampire could only stand and feel his mouth twitching the more he saw the boy grin.

"Father..."

Seeing her father act like this, Aeliana called out with a frown.

Azriel turned towards her, his face instantly warming up.

"Didn’t you say Cultivation Phases no longer matter to you? Then how..."

He had already seen a similar case with Sharnoth, he didn’t want another one. After all, a once defeated Infinity who is pretty much a cripple now was still something he could take on.

But... even Nux wasn’t prepared to face a fucking Universe that is being protected by a monster like Azriel.

Aeliana’s face paled when she heard Nux’s question. She quickly turned towards her Father, panicking even before she heard his answer,

Azriel shook his head.

[The Universe no longer holds much power over me, not until I use its Authority.]

"What about when you use its Authority?"

Aeliana questioned quickly.

[My Domain keeps me out of the Universe’s detection, but that fails when I use its Authority. The Universe would then be able to see what I see and if it sees Nux standing in front of me...]

"It will tell you to kill me and if you do not act, it will think you are in cahoots with the enemy, forcing it to take extreme actions."

Nux guessed.

[That is correct.]

Azriel nodded again.

[The same is true for Eternals.

I can defeat them if I use my Authority, but I need a reason convincing enough for the Universe to allow me to use its power and destroy its own Entity.

After all, this Power wasn’t given to me to face the beings from my Universe.]

Azriel slowly glanced at Nux and in an instant, the Anomaly realized what his Father in law was trying to say and completed his sentence again—

"It was given to you to face enemies from another Universe."
