Teaching Henry to write was always an adventure. He’d ignore the coffee table and insist he could only practice if he sprawled belly-down on the couch.

Fine, let him write. But did he trace letters? Of course not. He took his pen and started scribbling all over the leather, leaving wild, looping marks.

Doodling was one thing, but with his dad right there, Henry managed to poke several tiny holes straight into the fancy couch.

Noah walked into the office and saw Henry stretched out over his dad’s lap, little butt in the air, getting a well-deserved spanking. Henry twisted his face up, crying, “Mom picks me up from school, then lets Dad spank me! Waaah!”

Andre shot his son a sideways look, then turned to Noah. “What’s up?”

“Boss, year-end’s almost here. These are files from the overseas branches for you to check.” Noah handed over the stack, glancing at Henry with a mix of amusement and sympathy. “Henry, what happened this time?”

“Let him tell you,” Andre said, heading to his desk with the papers.

Noah crouched down beside Henry. “Hey, Henry, want to tell Uncle Noah what happened?”

Henry sniffled, “Uncle, would you dare spank my dad?”

Noah blinked. “Uncle wouldn’t dare.”

Henry’s lower lip quivered. “Mom would! I wish Mom would come over and spank Dad for me.”

Andre couldn’t help but grin at his son’s logic as he finished signing the files and handed them back to Noah.

Once the door shut, Andre put his serious face back on. “Stand up straight, heels together. When Mom comes, let’s see who gets in trouble—me or you.”

“Spank Daddy!” Henry shouted, refusing to lose any ground, even in timeout.
