At the time, she had thought that if they ever had a child, it would be wonderful if the child inherited such classically beautiful eyes.
Unfortunately, Belinda had round eyes, a bit like lychees–probably inherited from Yvonne…
Josephine gently rubbed the photo of Natalia with her fingertip and put it back in its place.
She left the bedroom and didn’t see Zachery.
It didn’t seem right to leave without saying a word.
So she called out into the air twice: “Dr. Maynard? Dr. Maynard?”
If no one answered, she would just go back to shower and freshen up; she could thank him the next time they met.
Of course, if Zachery wanted a thank–you gift, he could ask for anything he liked.
She had five hundred million now!!
Josephine saw her bag hanging in the entryway.
Just as she was about to walk over, Zachery came out of the guest room.
He was wearing light gray loungewear, no glasses, his eyes still sleepy, exuding an effortless laziness.
So last night she slept in his room, and he went to sleep in the guest room instead?
There was really no need for that.
A bed is a bed, after all.
But Josephine couldn’t say that out loud–it would make her seem ungrateful after taking advantage.
She said, “Did I wake you? Go back and sleep a bit more.”
Zachery had actually only just gone to bed not long ago.

Yesterday, while he was keeping an eye on Josephine, the property management told him that Wilfred had come and wanted to see Josephine.
There was no way Wilfred would be able to see Josephine.
The property was under 24–hour surveillance, specifically to guard against Wilfred
But Wilfred was determined to make trouble, trying to pull strings in the middle of the night to buy a place at Opal Heights.
He didn’t give up until almost dawn.
It was only at dawn that Zachery finally went to the guest room to get some sleep.
Zachery said, “I was just about to get up. How are you? Do you want something to eat? I’ll make it.”
“No, no need.”
The main reason Josephine woke Zachery was to thank him.
“Thank you
for picking me up last night. What would you like to eat? I’ll go buy it for you.”
She was very polite, which made Zachery uncomfortable, but there was nothing he could do.
Zachery didn’t say anything.
Josephine thanked him again, “How about I treat you to a big meal, or you can ask for anything you want.”
Zachery raised his eyebrows slightly. “I wonder if it would be too much?”
“Not at all. Even a hundred requests would be fine, let alone one.”
“Alright, then I’ll take a hundred.” Zachery looked at Josephine with a leisurely air.
The smile at the corner of Josephine’s mouth gradually became stiff.
Her mouth really got her into trouble–she should have said ten instead…
As she was regretting it, Zachery made his first request.
“Can you take two days off this weekend? Let’s take Natalia out for some fun.”
“Sure,” Josephine agreed immediately.

Chapter140
She didn’t have to work overtime on Saturdays and Sundays anyway.
A bigger smile appeared on Zachery’s lips, and he seemed much more awake.
“Then let’s cach get ready, have breakfast together, and I’ll drive
you to work.”
“No…”
Josephine was about to say it wasn’t necessary.
But Zachery cut her off with, “That’s the second request.”

After hearing from Belinda about the photo, Wilfred was stunned for a long time.
He stood there in a daze for quite a while.
Helena was in Marisbury and still ill, so he didn’t confront her.
Instead, he asked the housemaids if anyone had the electrician’s contact information.
As fellow workers, several of the maids had the electrician’s phone number saved.
The electrician hadn’t wanted any money in the first place.
He admitted that Helena had told him first that the fourth and fifth floors of Building 3 were occupied by her brother and Josephine, who were in the middle of a divorce. She wanted them to reconcile, so she asked him to cut the water and electricity on the fourth floor at a specific time.
It was only after he was caught by the property manager that he learned the fourth floor was Josephine’s, the fifth was Zachery’s, and they weren’t a couple at all. In fact, when Josephine went to Zachery’s home to borrow the bathroom, Zachery wasn’t even home…
Suddenly, the situation had taken a turn, and now Helena was involved–Wilfred didn’t want to believe it.
How could Lena possibly do something like that?
She had never lied since she was a child, always sincere and kind. Even when the maids bullied her, she would speak up for them…
