Wilfred and Shane must have known she wouldn’t leave Patricia behind, so they had Bianca leave early.
Those two conniving bastards!!
Josephine and Patricia arranged to meet at Terra Bistro again.
Patricia had put on makeup and wore clothes that made her look more lively.
But the deep hollows under her eyes still betrayed the torment she had suffered over the past three days.
Josephine felt both heartache and sorrow.
They were perfectly in sync. One didn’t mention her own suffering, the other didn’t talk about her compromises, and they laughed their way through the meal.
Patricia suddenly remembered something and asked Josephine in a very soft voice:
“At the Sylphoire private dinner, did you really strip Helena’s clothes off?”
She thought it was impossible that Helena had been stripped completely.
Helena had dirtied the only dress Josie’s mother had left her; Josie might have killed Helena for that.
But it was impossible that Josie would strip Helena naked and then get men to take nude photos of her.
She could swear on her life that Josie would never stoop to such despicable means.
Josephine said frankly, “I really regret not stripping Helena completely. I left her with a chest patch, an undershirt, and pants.”
Patricia gave a knowing smile, as if to say ‘I knew it,‘ but the next second, her face fell.
“But Josie, I heard people saying that Helena was stripped completely naked and that a lot of men took photos of her.”

Josephine’s eyelashes fluttered slightly, a little surprised.
She had only wanted Helena to experience the fear of someone barging in at any moment, to torment her psychologically.
For that, she had even bribed a waitress to guard the door and not let any men in except
Wilfred.
How could Helena have ended up naked? And even had men take photos?
Josephine couldn’t help but recall the provocative smile Helena had given her at the hospital…
“Tricia, I have to go.”
Josephine called for the waiter to settle the bill and left Terra Bistro.
She wanted to find a private detective, but to her dismay, there wasn’t a single one in her
contacts.
In the past, Matilda had always handled things like this for her.
Just as she was at a loss, a man with a camera around his neck and a baseball cap on his head walked past her.
Their eyes met.
She sized him up, and he scrutinized her.
Neither looked away first; both were trying to guess what the other wanted.
Seeing that no one was around, the man said in a low voice, “Need an investigation into an affair, a missing person, tracking, business investigation, or legal evidence collection?”
Josephine’s eyes flashed.

This private detective was surprisingly efficient.
In less than an hour, he had found the waitress from the Sylphoire private dinner.
Josephine brought her to Jovitas General Hospital.
Helena was asleep, and Wilfred wouldn’t let Josephine into the ward. If there was anything to

discuss, it had to be in the VIP area lounge.
The waitress, seeing the stern–faced Wilfred, looked even more terrified after being exposed.
“I wouldn’t dare lic. Ms. Copeland gave me twenty thousand dollars to guard the door and not let any men in except you.”
“About two minutes later, Ms. Pollard inside opened the door a crack and said that if I did as she said, she’d give me a hundred thousand.”
Wilfred’s brows were furrowed deeply.
“Ms. Pollard told me to take away her remaining clothes and throw them together with the dress. Then, spread the word that there was a surprise in the men’s lounge. If any men came in, don’t stop them.”
Wilfred’s gaze was as cold as a winter wind as he looked down at the waitress and pointed at Josephine, saying, “Did she tell you to make up this nonsense? How much did she pay you this time?”
“Ha…” Josephine suddenly laughed. “Wilfred, the way you blindly protect her is truly disgusting.”
Wilfred’s pupils contracted slightly.
Josephine’s eyes were full of disgust and disappointment. She spoke lightly but harshly:
“If you love her so much, then be ready to go to hell with her.”
After Josephine left, Wilfred’s face was as if covered in a layer of ice.
When he returned to the ward, he saw that Helena was awake.
She had woken up crying.
“Fred, I dreamed that you were being bullied. I wanted to help you, but I was powerless. Fred, tell me, how can I help you, how can I protect you?”
Helena covered her face with both hands and sobbed. Wilfred was being bullied, and she felt a thousand times more miserable than he did.
Facing a woman who cared for him so deeply, Wilfred couldn’t bring himself to blame her at
