Tempted By My Ex's Brother-in-Law (Aria and Grayson) novel Chapter 172

Chapter 172

Aria’s Perspective

Shock widened my eyes beyond their usual limits.

This was my own cousin—someone who shared my bloodline. Could he seriously be saying these things right now?

“Why are you staring at me like that?” he sneered with a dark chuckle, his eyes glinting with a twisted amusement. “This is how you always look at men, isn’t it? Those big, innocent eyes, pretending to be pure while inviting us to tear your clothes off and spread your legs…”

I cut him off sharply, my voice trembling with disgust. “You really think I was trying to seduce you?”

He scoffed, a cruel smirk spreading across his face. “Weren’t you? You’ve been watching me since you walked in. I know that look—it’s a signal.”

“There’s no signal,” I snapped back firmly.

He laughed, a harsh, mocking sound. “Why deny it? Oh, I see. You’re playing hard to get, thinking that’ll make me want you even more.”

My patience snapped. I shoved him hard on the shoulder, my tone icy cold. “Listen carefully. I wasn’t sending you any signal. I wasn’t trying to seduce you. The only reason I looked at you was to wonder how someone as stupid as you even survives in this pack. Your voice, your scent—everything about you disgusts me. Now get out of my room. And don’t come back. Understand?”

His expression shifted instantly. His face flushed red, a mix of anger and humiliation burning in his eyes.

“You bitch! So what if you’ve been fucked by an Alpha? What’s there to be proud of? You’re still just a filthy whore!” he spat viciously. “You should be grateful I’m even interested in your disgusting cunt!”

“OUT!” I growled fiercely.

But instead of retreating, he lunged forward, grabbing my wrist and slamming me against the wall. I struggled with all my strength, thrashing wildly, but he pressed his full weight against me, pinning me in place. I gasped for air, twisting my face away in revulsion.

“They said you were raped at Spike Hill Pack before the execution. Is that true?” he sneered darkly.

“GET. OFF. ME.” I hissed, trying to wrench free.

“Stop pretending to be pure. We all saw the video of you snapping that driver’s neck at the airport. If he didn’t assault you, why were you so angry? Tell me—did they fuck you one by one? Or did they fill all your holes at once?”

“Someone! Get in here!” I screamed, struggling harder. “Maids! Guards! HELP!!”

But strangely, the bustling activity that had filled the room moments before had vanished. My voice echoed loudly down the hallway, yet no one came.

His grip tightened around my neck. “Stop screaming! Who do you think owns this damn place? Me! They all know I’m their master. No one’s coming to save you. Behave, and maybe I’ll consider protecting you.”

I raised my knee sharply and kicked his shin with all my might. He grunted in pain, then shoved me roughly backward. The vases and cups on the table shattered as they crashed to the floor.

“Stupid bitch!” he roared. “My mother and aunts will destroy you—don’t you understand? I could have protected you! But now, you’ve pissed me off too!”

He lunged at me again, but I was ready. I snatched a jagged shard of broken porcelain from the floor and slashed it through the air, slicing a long cut across his chest.

“FUCK!” he bellowed, clutching the bleeding wound. “Are you crazy, you fucking—”

“Stop right there!” I shouted, holding the sharp piece steady, my hand shaking slightly from adrenaline. The shard had cut my palm too, and blood dripped down onto the floor. The wild desperation in my eyes seemed to freeze him in place.

“If you take one more step, I swear I’ll shove this right into your heart,” I warned, voice trembling but fierce.

“You really think you can kill me? You don’t even have a wolf!”

“Then I’ll stab your arm, your stomach, your leg—anywhere. I don’t care. Have you forgotten? I’ve already faced death. I’m not afraid of anything. Tell me, who’s crazier here?”

He flinched slightly but ground his teeth. “You crazy bitch…”

“You’re damn right I’m crazy. Leave now, and I’ll pretend this never happened. But take one step closer, and the moment I leave this room, I’m going straight to Alpha Thalira. I’ll tell her everything.”

“No one will believe you over me—”

“THEN TRY ME, ASSHOLE!” I snarled.

His face paled just a little. We locked eyes, the tension thick between us.

After a long, heavy silence, he took a cautious step back.
