Iris didn’t actually ask for the fruit, she only mentioned it by passing, because suddenly she wanted it, as if her mouth was watering when she imagined eating that fruit.
But she definitely understood if she couldn’t have it. Therefore, she wouldn’t have imagined Lu would make a big fuss over it when she was sleeping.
After Lu couldn’t get the answer he wanted from Redmond, Ethan and Jace, he went to look for Lou as per the beta suggestion.
"This is nonsense, why would Iris ask for that fruit?" Redmond frowned. This was not like her at all to actually bother other people and ask for something ridiculous when she knew they were in the middle of something more important than fruit.
"I think the lycan only made his own assumption." Jace sighed deeply. He knew the lycan would give them a headache or two eventually. But, as long as he didn’t do anything reckless, they should be grateful. "Maybe the luna only mentioned it without thinking much about it and the lycan assumed she really wanted the fruit."
Redmond scrunched his nose. "Well, that most likely."
Ethan grimaced. "Should we wake Iris? Just in case Lu caused trouble for Lou?"
Hearing that, Redmond laughed. "Let the lycan caused trouble for the merchant." He stretched his body. "I am going to sleep." He couldn’t care less about that and sleeping was more tempting for him.
Jace also didn’t seem to be worried about it, but the beta gave the gamma a sharp look, which made him flustered.
"What? What is it? Why are you giving me that look?" Ethan hunched his shoulders, as if Jace was going to attack him, but the beta simply scoffed and then walked away. "What’s wrong with him?"
Right now, the three of them could go back to their respective post after the false alarm that the lycan gave to them, but there was a certain merchant, who was facing trouble when Lu headed toward his carriage.
The lycan didn’t even knock, he immediately went inside and Lou almost died from heart attack when he opened his eyes and saw Cane’s red eyes. The man was sitting on his legs, tugging on his blanket.
"What the fuck!!!" Lou jumped out of his skin, as he immediately sat down and glared at Lu. "What the hell are you doing here!? You pervert!"
"Where I can get that Dragon Seed fruit." Lu didn’t even wait for Lou’s heart to settle back in his chest when he addressed his business. "Jace said you know how to get it."
Lou opened his mouth, but there was no word that came out for a few moment, too shock to speak. "Darn that beta! What nonsense he was spouting!" And the first thing he said was cursing Jace.
"Tell me how to get the Dragon Seed." Lu didn’t care about him cursing other, he only wanted to get the Dragon Seed before Iris woke up.
"Why all of sudden do you want the Dragon Seed?! Are you pregnant!?" Lou snapped and this didn’t sit well with Lu. He growled dangerously and the merchant corrected his attitude. "This is in the middle of the night, okay... why do you want Dragon Seed all of sudden? It’s not a fruit that you can get anywhere. It will be difficult to find the fruit." There was no way he was going to go out in the middle of the night to fulfill this lycan’s craziness.
"Iris wanted it, where to find it."
Lu tilted his head and blinked his eyes. "Iris?" The name made him reconsidered his decision earlier. "Why? She wanted that fruit?"
"Yes." Lu tugged Lou’s blanket again and crept closer to him. "Where can I get the fruit?"
Lou grimaced. "Can you at least let me get dressed first?" it felt so strange to be half naked in front of this lycan. "Get out from this carriage first!"
"Why should I?" Lu knew this merchant could create a portal that would get him anywhere he wanted. He was not going to let him do that.
"Do you want to see me naked?"
"I have seen something worst."
Lou really wanted to kill this lycan! But, wait. He couldn’t. Because it was him, who would get killed first.
"Arrgghh!" Lou let out a frustrated groan when Lu crossed his arms in front of his chest and leaned his back against the carriage wall, waiting for him to get dressed.
"Hurry up, I don’t have much time, Iris will wake up soon."
Lou felt like he was being violated and couldn’t fight back. It was crazy, but he preferred Cane better than this cursed creature!
Of course, he wouldn’t let a single soul to know about this! freewebnovel.cσ๓
In the end, once Lou finished, he created the portal for the two of them, but instead of going to Capital City, Lou took him to Chrystal Moon pack.
Lou had been coming here often by using the portal to keep things updated with the merchant from the Karam continent, he was not sure how he ended up with this task, but it was too late for him to complain.
"Do you get a woman pregnant?"
"What nonsense are you spouting?" Lou hastily denied it because he could feel the murderous intent from the creature behind him. "Shut up and tell me where can I find the fruit."
"Come with me!" Mark shrugged his shoulders, as he hobbled away. "Usually, if someone looked for the fruit in the middle of the night like this that woman is actually craving, because pregnant woman loved to eat this kind of stuff in this strange hour."
Lou scouted over to Lu and ask in low voice. "Did you get her pregnant again?"
Lu tilted his head. "Cane was the one, who got her pregnant."
Lou clicked his tongue. "Well, you and Cane are actually the same."
"Absolutely not. We are different."
Lou got a headache, he really missed talking to Cane...
However, their conversation was disrupted when three women approached the two of them. They were wearing so little dress, where it showed their skin. Two women were shifters, but the other one was not.
"This must be the famous alpha Cane!" one of the women said coquettishly, he stretched out her hand to touch Lu. "Why don’t you spend time with us, alpha while the luna is not here? We know how to please you." Her whispery voice was very tempting.
However, a single glare from Lu was enough to make her stopped her hand from touching him.
"Touch me and I will rip your head off."
Lu looked very dangerous, he was very intimidating, especially with his red eyes, as if he was going out to seek for blood. The women immediately backed off, trembling in fear to feel the alpha’s murderous aura.
"You don’t need to be very scary," Lou sighed because the women avoided them.
"How dare they want to touch me when they knew I have Iris!" Lu grumbled.
