The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter novel Chapter 886

Chapter 886: I WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING ABOUT REI

The elders had emphasized the importance of this meeting and for Abby to persuade Iris, so she could help them to take down the shield, but they placed James next to Abby also because they wanted there was someone, who would be able to tell her not to discuss anything beyond the matter at hand.

For some reason, they seemed to sense that Abby was going to rebel against them, thus they dug their claw deeper on her.

"Can you?" Abby asked James, her voice was cold and detach. "You know how important this meeting is."

James was tongue tied and when Abby continued to enter the tent, he couldn’t go through the warriors, who blocked his way from approaching the Serafim.

"Back off. This is not your place." Eron glared at him.

"This is not the place where your elders have a say," Dyne chimed in.

In the end, having no way to go through the warrior, James backed away. He returned to report this to the elders.

Meanwhile, Abby was having a conversation with the three of them.

Once Abby was inside the tent, she was surprised to see Lou was also there. She thought it would only be the alpha and the luna.

"He is..." Abby was a little bit awkward.

"I am Lou, I think you already know that." Lou smiled beautifully at the Serafim.

"I know your name."

"Oh, okay."

"I meant... why are you here?"

"Why not?"

Iris put down her fork. "It’s okay, I will explain about him later."

"Drink this." Cane poured her a glass of water and handed it to her. He then asked someone to clean up the table.

"But, I am not yet done eating!" Lou protested, yet he gave up his meal, knowing this would be a serious discussion.

At first, the situation was awkward, as no one initiated the conversation. Abby then cleared her throat, knowing she should be the one, who explained her situation first.

"First of all, I thank you for being able to get me out of the tent. I know this is not an easy thing to do to persuade the elders." Abby misunderstood, because Cane only gave alpha Dandolf a hint and aside from kept giving an excuse that Iris was sick, he didn’t do much. "I want to know if you took my offer?"

Iris had talked about this with Cane the night before. "What kind of protection do you need? To what extend do you need the protection from us? Because I don’t want to cause another war between the Holy Kingdom and us after this one."

"Why do you think it will solve your problem if I became the Serafim? I don’t think people in the Holy Kingdom would accept me with opened arms."

"As a Serafim you held power, you can control the knights in the Holy Kingdom, it will give you advantage that you need."

Lou laughed to hear that. "You can’t even tell a knight to back off, what kind of power are you talking about here?"

Abby’s face turned red, while Lou continued to laugh, despite Iris kicked his leg under the table, the merchant didn’t care much.

"Don’t you think you ask too much, while there is nothing real that you can offer?" Lou still couldn’t accept the fact that there was some point, where this woman had the audacity to claim Iris’s hardwork as hers.

Meanwhile, Cane said nothing, he simply watched how everything would unfold. He had his own plan for the Holy Kingdom’s people, but for now he would see what he could gain from the deal between Iris and Abby.

"Tell me about Rei and I will see what I can do to help you and the baby."

Abby shook her head. "Please, protect Cedric and Liam too."

Lou scrunched his nose in disdain. "Do you have a list of people you wanted to shelter? Seriously, you are being too much."

"I will tell you everything about Rei."
