"What?! What is going on?!" Otis widened his eyes in disbelieve when he saw the dead body underneath the ground after Lou dug it. Only then they could smell the blood.
Aliana instinctively went to stand in front of Iris and cover her from the sight, while Zale craned his neck to see it, but he stumbled because Zephyr pulled him back, yet he managed to see what made them gasp in shock.
"Luna... how?" Aliana couldn’t finish her word when Iris stepped aside and then walked toward Cedric’s dead body.
"Iris, you shouldn’t see this," Lou said, he was about to pull her back, but she refused. Her next word surprised them.
"He is still alive," Iris said calmly. She looked at Kian and Otis. "Pull him up."
"What?" Lou was dumbstruck. "Are you sure? You are not thinking he will be like that crazy woman, who was being resurrected and became the pain in the ass, because she kept whining about not having that alpha, right?"
"Her name is Aria," Kian stated in a matter of fact, because Lou’s description took so long.
"Whatever." Lou brushed his hand nonchalantly. "Is he really... alive? You are not trying to resurrect him, right? It will be creepy."
"I don’t have the power to do so," Iris replied, as she watched Otis and Kian pulled up Cedric’s body. Upon closer look, you would be able to see the cause of it.
"Well, that’s a relief."
"More so, he is not dead. Not yet." Iris crouched down next to Cedric’s body and stared at him closely, deep in thought.
It was Otis, who confirmed what Iris said. "The luna is right. It’s faint, but I think I can feel his pulse. He is not yet dead."
================================
"We are going to attack them as soon as possible, we can’t let Decratic to gain his strength. We need to attack him quickly and end this." Elder Xarex stared at the map in front of him that displayed the whole Ogregon continent.
The north kingdom was already under Cane’s control and now they just had their hand on Winter Moon pack, with two harbor packs within their grasp, there was no way for Decratic’s follower to be able to join them again.
Their focus right now was Moon Dew pack, after that, they would move to the west kingdom; Red Claw pack and Golden Light pack, only then they would reach the Capital City.
For Celestial Moon pack, the place was located to the north of the capital, so the quickest way to get there was to pass through the Capital City or they have to pass through Untouched land that had never been passed before.
"We need your luna for this." Rei lifted his head and looked at Cane with his innocent eyes, which made the alpha felt his blood boiled.
"What you said? Are you really going to lie to my face that this is our first meeting and what happened in the Goffa mountain did not exist?" Cane leaned his body against the wall. This small strategy room filled with tension.
Abby listened closely to this. She never knew that the two of them had met before and she was sure the other elders had never learned about this either.
Now the card was laid in the open and Cane waited what Rei would decide and to his surprise, he admitted it lightly.
"Yes, we have met before in the Goffa mountain, at the time when the previous king, king Aeon died during the monster attack." Rei smiled harmlessly at Cane. "I was there to save luna Iris because it looked like she was in trouble, but she was mistaken and stabbed me." His explanation was very concise and made sense.
Aside from the fact how far that was from the truth. Cane knew that, so did Jace, but the rest were not there to witness and tell that it was a big lie.
"I was in this continent because I was looking for the map, my informant said the map is in the Black Market. You must have known what map that I meant, because thanks to you we finally got the map back." Rei spoke smoothly, you wouldn’t be able to tell whether he was telling the truth or not. He didn’t even miss a beat. "Oh, I met with luna Iris in the Black Market too for the first time, did she tell you about that?" He admitted to that too, making Cane’s word sounded hollow. As if this was a trivial thing.
However, before this conversation could escalate, Pax entered the room and whispered something to Cane’s ear.
The alpha didn’t show any emotion, his expression was still the same, but he excused himself and let Jace to be in charge for this meeting.
Yet, the moment he stepped out of the room and out of everyone’s sight, he shifted into his black beast.
