The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter novel Chapter 918

Chapter 918: THEIR BELIEF

Iris rolled her eyes when she heard that, this man was very dramatic. "Cane will chew you out."

Ethan blinked his eyes innocently. "I am here to help you and protect you. I am very sure, Cane will appreciate my effort."

Iris glanced at her five warriors with additional Dean and Pax, not to mention she could hold her ground now, there was no need for Ethan to be here.

Meanwhile, Hanna and Amee had gone to prepare a room for her and Cane, along with Aliana and two warriors, to ensure the safety of that room.

As if Ethan could read what was in Iris’s mind, he pursed his lips. "I thought you will like my company since it has been so long for us to be together? After all, Cane has Jace with him. It is only fair if I am with you, don’t you think so?"

Iris narrowed her eyes when she heard that, there was something fishy about his reason. "Is your relationship with Aliana, okay?" Ethan averted his gaze. "I think so too."

This gamma shamelessly came to her to ask for advice. There was no other reason aside from that. Well, this chit- chat obviously could wait.

"Raise," Iris said when she stood in front of Vincent and the other people, Ethan was by her side.

The gamma from the pack lifted his head, he furrowed his brows slightly. He only stood up when Iris gave him the same order for the second time, as if he didn’t believe his own ears.

"Are you the one in charge in this pack?"

"Yes." fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

Iris then told him to show her a way to the study room, while the rest of the people could go back to their original work.

The look of confusion was on their faces when they heard that.

"What do you mean with our original work?" One of them asked. They looked less terrified when they had to face Iris instead of the alpha. After all, they still had this strong belief that a woman did not hold as much power as the alpha, even though she was their mate.

"The luna meant, you can continue with your routine. You can go now." Ethan waved his hand impatiently. He seemed determine enough to make Iris finished with whatever she was going to do as soon as possible, so he could have a conversation with her too.

"Really?"

They were surprised now, shocked even, because they didn’t expect this at all. The first thing that came to their mind was; slavery, aside from that, it would be a mercy.

But, here she was; making a decision and knew what she needed to do.

"People changed in order to survive." And she was no different. She changed because she needed to survive, so did the rest of them.

Ethan nodded. It had been a turmoil year and now two years had passed since their slavery. It was not a long time, but they slowly healed from the trauma. Some of them might heal slower than the other, but they went to the right direction and start to dare to have a hope again.

Probably because of the state of Golden Light pack right now, thus it brought a sentimental memory for Ethan, but he looked back to those hellish years and he didn’t feel as much as pain like before.

They were alive and together, they would continue to survive.

Once they arrived at the room, Iris took her seat on the main table and then looked at Vincent. The alpha used to sit on this chair when he gave an order, but it was a weird sight when you saw a woman was sitting there instead and that was what Vincent felt.

"I want you to do something for me," Iris started.

"Why the alpha is not here?" Vincent asked. He didn’t use to take an order from a woman.
