After hanging up, Charlotte leaned back in her office chair, staring at the case files on the screen.

Matthew’s case wasn’t complicated, and his chances of winning were high. But given his employer’s attitude, they would almost certainly refuse to pay any compensation without a fight.

The case was a labor dispute. The first step would be filing for labor arbitration.

If the company refused to accept the arbitration result, they could escalate it to a lawsuit.

But lawsuits were a slow, complicated process. Even with a high chance of victory, Matthew didn’t have the luxury of time.

He needed that money for his treatment. And Luna needed it too.

Today, she had paid for their immediate medical bills, but it was far from enough.
