What's with Ruby, talking smack about Hertha?
The woman he adored like a precious gemstone, he wouldn't let anyone cast a shadow over her!
Hertha's designs were splendid. He went all out for Ethan's company, snapping up all of Hertha's designs. And the final products? He carried them in his pocket, always close to his heart!
And here was this woman, Ruby, daring to say that Hertha's three necklaces couldn't hold a candle to someone else's single piece!
Alaric, boiling with rage, grabbed Ruby by the throat, all his anger and hurt rushing to his head, making him tighten his grip.
"Hertha, a nobody? Go do your homework. She's way more famous than that so-called W!"
Alaric spat out angrily.
Ruby, already on her knees before Alaric, had no chance to fight back. Her face quickly turned the color of liver as she seemed to be in immense pain.
Ethan and Richard, sensing things getting out of hand, knew Alaric was seriously pissed.
Richard rushed to pull Alaric away, trying to calm him down, "Alaric, man, don't lose it. We can talk this out."
Ethan chimed in, "Alaric, W is Thalassa. Remember her work you saw? Thalassa's been in the spotlight recently after a jewelry competition. Ruby's not lying."
Despite Ethan and Richard's efforts, Alaric was unmoved until Ethan mentioned W was Thalassa. His expression softened slightly, but he was still furious at Ruby, coldly tossing her aside.
Unfortunately, he threw her with a bit too much force, and at a bad angle. Ruby's head hit the corner of the coffee table, eliciting a loud scream.
Meanwhile, Kimberly had brought the kids over to Hertha's place for a rest. Hertha had just finished tucking Julian and Helena in with a bedtime story, ready to take a shower and hit the sack herself.
Suddenly, her phone rang with a call from the police.
Hertha, thinking it was a scam, responded irritably, "What do you want?"
The voice on the other end spoke, "Is this Miss Hertha? One of your friends is at the police station, needing your bail."
"My friends are all accounted for, and none are in the Pacific waiting on bail. Don't disturb my rest!" Hertha retorted, about to hang up.
Then she heard a familiar voice on the line.
