Ever since partnering with Velotra, Celeste had been so busy every day that her head was spinning.
A new week began, and Celeste was even busier—she barely had time to deal with anything else.
By the time she finally caught her breath, she realized an entire week had already flown by.
After work, she dragged her exhausted body home, only to find that Jordyn had already gone to bed.
Although Jordyn had been staying at the Rodriguez residence lately, they honestly hadn't had much interaction.
Looking at the little girl curled up alone on the big bed, Celeste stood by the bedside for a long time before finally heading into the bathroom to shower.
The next morning, when she woke up, Jordyn was already dressed and carrying her little backpack, seemingly ready to go out.
Seeing her mother wake up, Jordyn ran over and leaned on the bed. "Mom, did I wake you up?"
Celeste sat up and shook her head. "No." Then she asked, "Heading out?"
"Mhm! Dad's back. He's coming to pick me up soon."
Celeste froze for a second before realizing—today was Saturday. Trevor was supposed to be back.
After washing up, she went downstairs to have breakfast. Just then, Trevor arrived.
As Celeste walked Jordyn to the door, Trevor was getting out of the car. He didn't look like someone who had just gotten off a flight.
It was as if he knew what she was thinking. He looked at her as he bent down to pick Jordyn up and said, "I came back last night."
Celeste didn't reply.
Trevor then continued, "Thanks for your help. If you're free at noon, shall we have lunch together?"
Celeste finally spoke, declining. "There's no need."
Trevor nodded and didn't insist. He looked at her and said, "Then, see you on Monday."
Celeste replied lightly, "Okay."
Jeffrey smiled and said, "Last time when Chester came back, he told me the country had changed a lot.
"I didn't quite get it at the time, but now that I've returned and seen it for myself, I realize how much Ceravelle has truly changed over the past decade."
Trevor replied, "You should come back more often when you have the time."
"Absolutely." Then Jeffrey added, "I'm very interested in YodaVision these days. I heard Fleming Group has a partnership with them?
"When will you introduce me to Mr. Yoder and that famously talented Ms. Rodriguez?"
Wynn was meeting Jeffrey for the first time.
After greeting him at the table, she hadn't said much and just sat there pleasantly listening. But at those words, her expression froze slightly.
Before Trevor could reply, Jeffrey continued, "A few years ago, when you mentioned YodaVision's programming language capabilities, I didn't think much of it.
"But over the past two years, I've grown to really appreciate the value of Cuap. When you first brought it up, I could tell you were also very interested in it..."
