That afternoon, when Celeste got home, Jordyn had just returned from school.
The moment Celeste stepped through the door, she heard her daughter talking on the phone. Seeing her, Jordyn's face lit up. "Mom!" she called out happily.
Then, whatever the person on the other end said made Jordyn's eyes brighten even more. She ran over with the phone in hand. "Mom, Dad wants to talk to you."
Celeste was stunned for a moment. Then, she took the phone, pressed it to her ear, and said, "Hello."
"Happy birthday."
Celeste didn't answer immediately. There was a brief silence before she finally replied, "Thank you."
By right, this was the moment she should've mentioned the gift he'd sent that morning, maybe said something polite in return. But holding the phone, she said nothing. Not a word.
Trevor didn't bring it up either. It was as if that extravagantly expensive gift hadn't come from him at all.
"I've got a lot going on over here," he said calmly. "I probably won't be back for a while."
Celeste understood immediately what he meant. She pressed her lips together, silent.
When she didn't respond, Trevor asked, "Are you mad?"
She didn't answer that either—her voice stayed flat as she said, "Anything else?"
"No."
The moment the words left his mouth, she hung up—clean, decisive. But just before the line went dead, she thought she'd heard him laugh.
Her hand froze around the phone. Her brow furrowed slightly.
Trevor had already told Jordyn he wouldn't be back anytime soon. So, for the next few days, the little girl naturally stayed at the Rodriguez residence.
In the next few days, he called home almost every day.

"Besides, these aren't small ventures. The capital requirement alone already shuts most people out."
They simply didn't have that kind of money.
Luther snorted. "If Trevor really wanted to help, there'd always be a way."
If Trevor truly wanted to give her family a boost, he absolutely could.
If this had been a month or two ago, she would've been certain—certain that he'd have gone out of his way to help her.
But now—

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
why is there not 5 episodes updated daily like the others on this website...
I read this novel recently. I just feel, it is exhausting being in Celeste shoes. Not getting a clear break, on the other side - Trevor is comfortably two timing and dragging. He is not really worth and should face the consequences. On the other hand, i also feel that probably he is putting on a mask to push Celeste to achieve her dreams and eventually became a hero. However, his attitude and physical relationship with Wynn - is not justifying my this theory. Let's just wait and watch, i hope it is not too much of a drag...
Depressing if Trevor give up Celeste and propose to his mistress! Poor Jordyn. Thank goodness,I am busy with patients' issues. I can stop here....
Will it make difference to Trevor if he knows how his mistress family malign the mother of his daughter even if he and Celeste are divorcing for his mistress?...
Please update atleast 3 chapters a day......
