"Sorry, Ms. Harwood, we can't let you enter without an invitation."
The sound of the dance music continued from inside the venue.
Eloise glanced at the two men. Realizing they wouldn’t let her in, her tone grew colder. "You should know who I am. Are you sure you want to face the consequences of stopping me?"
The men gave each other a look, not sure what to do. "Sorry, Ms. Harwood. Maybe you could give Mr. Sutton a call. We can let you in if Mr. Sutton comes down to get you."
"You!" Eloise was stunned that these mere security guards dared to challenge her.
Left with no choice, Eloise pulled out her phone and dialed Kieran's number. But after several rings, there was no answer. Eloise then tried calling Jarrett, but again, no response.
At that moment, someone came out, saying, "Freya indeed knows how to work a room. I swear, Mr. Sutton was mesmerized watching her dance!"
"I thought Mr. Sutton's favorite was Eloise. When did he get so close to Freya?"
"Who knows? Freya's got game, and what man can resist a woman who throws herself at him?"
The gossip reached Eloise's ears, fueling her fury. How shameless Freya was!
Seeing Eloise was about to burst in, the security guards quickly intervened, disregarding her image. "Ms. Harwood! Please don't make this difficult for us... Ms. Harwood..."
"Move! Let me in!"
Eloise was seething with jealousy and anger thinking about Kieran and Freya alone together. The guards couldn't hold her back, and Eloise stormed into the venue in moments.
As she burst through the doors, all eyes landed on her.
Eloise looked up at him, her eyes brimming with tears. "And what about Ms. Dawson?"
Kieran laughed coldly. "Without me, she'll still have a good time."
Freya had started dancing in the center of the room even before the charity auction began, proving she was a natural socialite, adept at capturing men’s hearts.
Seeing this, Eloise took the opportunity to take Kieran's arm, saying, "Kieran, I'm doing this for you. Ms. Dawson doesn't mingle with the elite. And I've always been by your side. It's better if I'm here with you for such occasions."
"Sure," Kieran responded.
Yeah, Freya was just some flighty rich girl. Eloise was way better suited to hang with him when dealing with the business bigwigs.
