The Broken-hearted She And The Icy He (Lily and John) novel Chapter 692

**Title: My Wife 692**
**Chapter 692: Victor’s Wrath**

In the dim light of the room, memories flooded back to her, sharp and vivid. She couldn’t shake off the thought of the five million she had so eagerly taken from Victor. It had seemed like a small price to pay for the sparkling jewelry she had long desired. “Just a few pieces to elevate my status,” she had told herself, convincing Victor of her need.

But now, standing on the precipice of disaster, she realized that all that money had vanished into the depths of her extravagant purchases. The jewelry, while beautiful, was not worth the price she had paid. Even if she attempted to sell them, the market would only return a fraction of what she had spent. Five million seemed an insurmountable mountain now, and the thought of Victor taking legal action against her sent a chill down her spine.

The mere idea of prison was unbearable. She pressed her hand against her belly, feeling the life growing inside her, and wailed, “Has my cousin cast a spell on you? I am your woman, Victor! I carry your child! How can you even think of sending me to prison just to be with some unscrupulous woman? Victor, how can you be so heartless to me and our baby?” Her voice cracked with desperation, each word laced with the weight of her fear.

As the words left her lips, she noticed the growing unease among Cyron and the others. They began to speak up, their voices overlapping in a chorus of concern. “You can’t just abandon her like this! She’s carrying your child!” Cyron exclaimed, his tone urgent. “Do you really have the heart to ruin her life like this?”

“That’s right!” another voice chimed in. “Marilyn gave you her pure body, her love! How can you turn your back on her now?”

A third voice, filled with indignation, added, “You must have some sense of decency! Don’t let yourself be swayed by those filthy women outside!”

Victor, however, was unyielding. The sight of Yolanda and her companions filled him with disgust, and he turned to his bodyguards with a steely resolve. “Take them to the police station,” he commanded, his voice cold and devoid of emotion. “Charge them with assault and malicious fraud. Let them stay there until further notice!”

“I won’t go to the police station!” Marilyn shouted, her panic escalating. “I am a member of the Luke family! I am carrying the heir of the Luke family! Who dares to touch me?”

But as she saw the bodyguards advancing, her heart raced with a mix of anger and fear. They were closing in on her, and she felt a surge of hatred boiling within. Victor’s heart was like ice; he was resolute in his decision to send her away.

What had she done to deserve this? All she had ever wanted was to love Victor, to be by his side. If it hadn’t been for that insufferable Adeline, she would have already been Mrs. Luke, basking in the glory of their union.

Adeline had stolen her happiness, her dreams of wealth and prestige. Why should that vile woman be showered with affection and admiration while she, Marilyn, who had fought tooth and nail for her place, was destined to be a despised convict?

No, she would not accept this fate! Even if she was headed for jail, she would not allow that tramp Adeline to have an easy life. She would not let Adeline bring Victor’s child into this world!

With a fierce determination, she glared at Adeline, her heart filled with malice. The bodyguards were drawing closer, but she couldn’t let this opportunity slip away. She lifted her foot, channeling every ounce of rage she felt, and aimed a violent kick toward Adeline.
