Lucas frowned in contemplation, knowing that Jeremy's words made perfect sense. Taking Bryan away would leave him with no child, and it would be difficult to explain everything to Sophia when she returned. However, he did not feel comfortable leaving Bryan with the scheming Sophia.
Bryan seemed to understand Lucas' concerns and tugged on the man's clothes. "I've been with this handsome uncle for several days now. I'll be fine! Don't tell Mommy about this, okay? I don't want her to worry."
Lucas massaged his temples, feeling as though he had little choice in the matter.
He finally understood why Corinne complained about the strange behavior that 'Bryan' had been displaying lately. It was because the two children had been switched! He had to admit that it all seemed incredibly coincidental.
Lucas looked at Zachary with a stern warning, "Take good care of him, or you won't hear the end of it from me!"
Zachary nodded calmly. "Please make sure that Miss Corinne takes good care of my son as well."
Meanwhile, Sunny was eavesdropping on the conversation through the wall of the other suite. Unfortunately, the thick walls and excellent soundproofing made it nearly impossible for him to hear anything.
At that moment, Corinne had just returned from lunch and was engrossed in her work. She answered the call in a seemingly distracted manner.
"Corinne! It's me!" Sunny said urgently.
"You're late," said Corinne. "I've already had lunch, and I'm not going to starve myself to wait for you. Go get something to eat yourself!"

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
