Corinne came in and looked at Matt, who was shielded by his parents. Matt was in the same class as Joey, and Corinne had met him before while fetching Joey from class. Though they were of the same age, Matt was taller than Joey and appeared to be much stronger. It did not make sense for Joey to beat Matt up, but it was clear that both children were visibly injured.
Corinne turned to Matt's parents and said, "I've just arrived, and I don't know the full details of the situation yet. Give me a moment to talk to my son."
She then walked toward Joey who stood alone in the corner. Matt's parents were not happy, and they exchanged disapproving glances at each other while directing their concerns to the principal.
Matt's father voiced his discontent. "What kind of attitude is that? Her son bullied our son, but rather than getting her son to apologize, she wanted to talk to him instead. What's the point of that? Her son isn't injured!"
"Exactly!" Matt's mother said in support. "Don't you interview parents before admitting their students to your kindergarten? Why didn't you screen such problematic children? This doesn't make your kindergarten any different from the other!"
The principal apologized profusely yet again and requested the parents to wait.
Corinne ignored their comments and squatted in front of Joey. She asked, "Did you hit him?"
Since Corinne was squatting, Joey's push tilted her off balance and caused her to fall backward. She frowned and watched her son run away with a mix of concern and confusion.
The brief episode caught the attention of Matt's parents, and they seized the opportunity to drive their point home.
The father remarked, "Can't you see that the child has violent tendencies? He just shoved his mother to the ground! Allowing such a child to remain in your kindergarten is like allowing a ticking time bomb to fester here. If you don't expel him, we'll rally the other parents to withdraw their children from the kindergarten!"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
