The woman with glasses was high on the attention.
Not only was Lucas talented, but he was extremely handsome. Even after so many years in the entertainment industry, she had never seen such a perfect man.
Lost in her thoughts, she blushed and even fantasized about the possibility that Lucas might be interested in her. Even though she was not as young and beautiful as Stella, she had her own womanly charm.
However, the look Lucas gave her was icy cold—even tinged with disdain.
'Why is he looking at me like he wants to kill me? Shouldn't he be happy that I'm speaking ill of Melody? He doesn't like her, right? Or did I misunderstand something?'
After looking down on her, Lucas did not bother with her anymore.
Melody gradually got used to the disdainful looks of the people around her. She had become a complete joke as a woman publicly abandoned by Lucas. Regardless of any evidence, they would never believe she was framed.
It was pointless. She did not want to seek the truth anymore. Maybe it was better to leave if she could. Perhaps she was not meant to be part of this production; all sorts of chaotic incidents occurred since taking on this role.
Melody was not a heartless robot; she was capable of feeling tired. She thought that everything would be fine as long as she stayed true to herself, focused on her acting, and played her role well. However, when she arrived at the film set, she realized it was not the case at all.
"Uh, we're usually very efficient, but it's just because of this unexpected incident..." Stella began, but Lucas interrupted her and instead asked if she had tissues.
"You actresses always carry some tissues around, right? So do you have any tissues?"
Realizing that he was addressing her, Stella felt a rush of joy. It was obvious Lucas did not have a habit of carrying any tissues with him.
The fact that Lucas was willing to use her tissues was a good sign, bringing them one step closer in their relationship.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
