Sherman's guess proved correct as he received a call from his friend while on the way. Rita was indeed at Golden Sand Hotel near his company.
"Quick, tell me which floor she's on?"
"She's in Room A414! Hurry up and get there," said his friend seriously. "When I saw her in the hotel corridor, she seemed dazed and confused. Something's not right. She looks like she's been drugged, and..."
He stopped himself mid-sentence.
The air around Sherman was tense. "Thanks. I'll properly thank you after this is over."
"Hey, no need for that. What's important now is to make sure she's safe. Don't worry, I've already informed the hotel staff. Let's hope... Let's hope it's not too late. I wonder who's so brazen to do such despicable things in my hotel..."
Sherman did not have the luxury to listen to his friend's complaint. He quickly hung up the phone, pushing the gas pedal as he headed straight for the hotel. Fortunately, it was not too far.
Meanwhile, the hotel staff were bustling up and down, responding to the emergency. They only knew that something extremely serious had happened in Room A414. Their company president had issued the most severe orders, and they had to get there quickly.
"What on earth happened? I've been working here for years, and I've never received a level-one directive before." The hotel staff exchanged information as they ran.
"I have no idea, but the company president seems really angry. Well, there's no point in speculating now. The most important thing is to get there quickly."
The thug immediately flashed a smile and acted considerate. "Of course. Isn't this hotel all about taking care of us guests? Since everything's fine, I'll just go in now."
Meanwhile, Sherman had already arrived downstairs at the hotel. He desperately suppressed his impulse until he stepped onto the fourth floor, feeling like he was finally coming to his senses. He went straight to the door of Room A414.
"Mister Sherman."
The staff at the door immediately lowered their heads. Sherman was a friend of their company president, and all the staff were very aware of that fact. They just did not know why he was here.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
