Robin, piloting a light-speed warship, swiftly overcame the four major fleets of Autreynia that tried to engage him, deciding to wipe out all of Autreynia's military forces.
Only by crippling the power of that superpower could it be fully subdued.
Autreynia had dominated the world, relying on its unmatched naval and air forces.
For a century, Autreynia's strategy was global domination, using its military might to plunder resources at will.
Such control would have been impossible without an overwhelming military force.
Currently, Autreynia boasted 11 nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, more than 300 active ships, and over 4,000 high-performance fighter jets in its navy.
Its naval forces were the largest and most advanced in the world, surpassing any other nation's military might.
The Autreynian Navy was divided into two main branches—the Navy and the Marine Corps—comprising naval forces, fleet aviation, maritime service forces, and shore-based units.
Seven fleets operated globally. The Seventh, Fourth, and Fifth Fleets had already been severely crippled by Robin.
Only the Second Fleet, guarding the North Aurelic Ocean and the east coast, and the Third Fleet, positioned in the west of Autreynia and the North Panacea Ocean as a defense outpost, were intact.
Those were Autreynia's strongest forces.
Robin had set his sights on the Second and Third Fleets, knowing that if he took down those two, the way would be clear for Tanqueria to strike.
Autreynia had long considered Tanqueria its greatest threat. If the fleets guarding Tanqueria were defeated or incapacitated, Autreynia would have to prepare for an attack from that direction.
In the eyes of Autreynia's top officials, Divine Drakebane wasn't seen as a serious threat. At worst, they thought they could surrender to him. But Tanqueria was their real worry.
After making his choice, Robin swiftly attacked the Third Fleet, the strongest part of Autreynia's military. Taking down the Third Fleet would leave Autreynia vulnerable, with no defenses left.
...
Cape Valmora Naval Base.
At Cape Valmora Naval Base, where Autreynia's strongest Third Fleet was stationed, orders had been given directly from Watertown House.
Autreynia's leaders hadn't instructed them to take the offensive against Divine Drakebane.
The Third Fleet, as Autreynia's main line of defense, was too important to risk carelessly.
The fleet was equipped with four Ironwraith-class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, making up a third of Autreynia's naval carriers.
With the ability to deploy four carrier battle groups, the Third Fleet was the most powerful of Autreynia's seven fleets.
The first, third, ninth, and eleventh carrier battle groups were equipped with Ironwraith-class, Stormvalor-class, Emberhold-class, and Dawnbringer-class carriers. Together, they possessed enough power to defeat any enemy fleet in the world.
The senior commanders at the Third Fleet Command Headquarters were gathered in the operations room, observing the situation over Watertown and the South Panacea Ocean through images sent by drones and military satellites.
Thirteen high-ranking officers watched as Robin's light-speed warship destroyed five hundred and eighty F-series fighter jets from the four major Autreynia air bases and wiped out four fleets in the South Panacea Ocean in an instant.
Daxon sneered. "You've gotten too comfortable. Autreynia is invincible!"
Just then, an explosion rocked the Command Headquarters.
"General!" The emergency system crackled urgently. "Divine Drakebane's light-speed warship is attacking our first carrier battle group!"
The Third Fleet Command Headquarters fell silent.
The satellite feed was delayed by ten seconds before it captured the image of the light-speed warship.
Explosions and towering flames erupted on the deck of the first carrier battle group.
None of the 100 fighter jets could take off—the light explosive bombs obliterated them.
Chaos erupted among the mercenaries on board, and missiles were quickly launched from the carrier group.
But the light-speed warship was too fast.
Robin activated the anti-missile system, redirecting all the missiles back to the first carrier battle group. In under five minutes, the first aircraft carrier battle group at Cape Valmora Naval Base was in disarray.
He stood in front of the camera, coldly sneering. "The next target is the third aircraft carrier battle group!"
With a flash of light, the light-speed warship disappeared into a thick cloud of smoke, leaving the confused naval officers at the Third Fleet Command Headquarters in stunned silence.
