The entire Heaven Realm was on high alert as something unusual stirred deep within the Demon Realm.
Angels, appointed as vigilant watchers over the Demon Realm since the day it was sealed by the Princess of Demons, were stunned by the dangerous and powerful vibrations emanating from within.
"What’s going on?"
"Not sure. But we must inform the Sovereign."
One of the angels hurried back to the Heaven Realm, where King Grianor, the Sovereign of Heaven, was deep in discussion with the other deities. Upon arrival, the angel was granted entry into the grand hall, where he knelt before the king, his head bowed in reverence.
"My Sovereign, we have sensed dangerous vibrations from within the Demon Realm. It seems something is happening there."
The deities exchanged uneasy glances, their expressions a mix of concern and disbelief. The Demon Realm had been silent for so long—this disturbance was unexpected.
Without delay, King Grianor and the deities made their way to the boundary between the Demon and Heaven Realms. Standing at the edge of the ominous darkness, they could all feel the pulsing, powerful vibrations radiating from within.
Grianor’s expression was grave and unreadable, while panic was etched across the faces of the other deities.
"Has the Princess of the Demon Realm returned?"
"That’s impossible. Her soul was said to have vanished after she sacrificed herself to seal the Demon Realm."
"But what if her soul somehow survived? If she managed to return, she could reclaim her powers once she removes the shield around the Demon Realm."
"No. We can’t let this happen. She is very powerful, and the only god who could defeat her was the God of War."
"We don’t have him, and without him, it would be difficult."
While everyone continued to speculate, Solon, the God of Wisdom, spoke to Grianor, "My Sovereign, we need to find out what’s going on inside the Demon Realm all of a sudden. The only one who could shake the entire Demon Realm like this is either the previous Lord of the Demon Realm or his granddaughter, the Princess of the Demon Realm."
Grianor clearly understood this as well. He swiftly floated into the air to get closer to the shield around the Demon Realm while the other deities could only watch. The shield was so powerful and emitted such threatening absolute darkness that not everyone was capable of approaching it.
"My Sovereign, be cautious," Solon said. "You have not recovered entirely yet."
Grianor ignored him and went ahead anyway. Grianor, the Lord of Light, stood as the exact opposite of absolute darkness. His body started to illuminate, showing traces of his immense power as he stopped closer to the shield.
He placed his hand against it with much difficulty despite the darkness repelling the light, but his own powers continued to stand against the darkness and kept him steady. He closed his eyes and began to sense what was happening inside.
After a while, Grianor opened his eyes in shock.
’Someone has opened the Valley of the Abyss,’ he had sensed that strong power, ’and even the Soul Reaver has been summoned. This strong power... Is she truly back?’
Grianor maintained his calm demeanor and turned to head back. All the deities waited anxiously to hear from him. Grianor’s face remained unreadable as he spoke.
"There is indeed something happening inside the Demon Realm, but the shield is intact, and there seems to be no attempt to break it. You all can rest assured."
He then turned his gaze to the angels.
"Keep watch and inform me immediately if anything happens."
