Chapter 384
Pamela took out a few reports that did not highlight any issues and gave them to Declan. “Look, my dear. Why would I lie to you?”
Declan went through the report to make sure everything was fine. Only then did he relax a little, saying, “Mom, I’ll stay at home with you these two days. You still need to take good care of yourself even if it’s just low blood sugar. ”
Nodding, Pamela said, “Okay Where’s Halley, by the way?”
Declan whipped out a bag and placed Pamela’s things in it. Without lifting his head, he answered plainly, “She went home. We’re just friends, Mom.”
“I know many girls liked you back then. Your sister even saw a girl putting a letter and chocolates in your bag. Her name was Jennifer Barron, wasn’t it?”
Lifting his head, Declan said, “Don’t bring that up. Hailey’s nothing like them.”
Pamela smiled, saying. “So you see Hailey differently compared to the other girls, huh?”
Speechless, Declan continued packing
“Declan, you’re not young anymore. Don’t miss the opportunity if you’ve found someone you like. Hailey’s nice girl,” advised Pamela
At the same time, Declan was done with packing. He swung the bag over his shoulder, lent Pamela his arm, and walked her out of the hospital. While walking along the corridor, Declan said softly, “I’ve never thought about such things. I can’t promise her a good future anyway.”
Pamela fell silent. She knew Hailey came from a good family. That was why she made it clear to Nicole in case the latter’s comments ruined Hailey’s reputation. Pamela’s thoughtfulness for Hailey purely stemmed from her liking, for the latter.
“Mom, I only want to solve Dad’s problem now. One day, I’ll prove his innocence, I will tell everyone that my father wasn’t a drug dealer but an undercover cop.”
Tears filled Pamela’s eyes as she held Declan’s hand. “This is not your burden to bear, Declan.” It was going to be a rough journey for Declan.
Celine found Pamela’s situation a pity. Once the cancer cells started spreading, there would be no hope left. However, Celine could help Pamela die a less painful death.
Looking at Hailey, Celine sald, “No one can escape death.“.
Nodding, Hailey said, “It’s a good thing that I got Declan’s number. That way, I can contact him if anything happens.”
Celine was astonished. “That’s impressive, Hailey. I can’t believe you even managed to get his number.”
“Celine, I… did it with Declan already,” whispered Hailey.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam)
How can this be,Carly always gets away with everything and Celine intelligence is not working her at all....
Just as I thought. This could go on a few more chapters. But the bond between Fiona amd Celine is undeniable. Even without knowing that they are mother and daughter. Though I'm totally confused. Isn't there any resemblance between Celine and her parents? How couldn't they tell that she was their daughter?...
As expected of the dna results in favor of the wicked carly again.. so frustrating...
I hope the writer of this story will not prolong this…..what happened to the DNA…...
Can you upload more chapters per day, each chapter is very short you always keep us hanging...
Can’t wait for when Nigel will discover Celine is his child...
I was enjoying Celine being a formidable woman until the author put her abuser back in her way to make it seem she is weak willed with no physical control. This saddens me....
Regardless of how "sorry" the abusive man is. His regret is his own burden to carry....
When a woman divorces a man because he ill treated her, authors of these books, should stop making a women look desperate to go back with the abusive man. The real world is not like that. Many many women value themselves too much to return to their abusers....
Please this story is going round in circles……this writer🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️...
