The Doormat Wife’s Ultimate Glow-Up novel Chapter 340

Sofia stared at Reese, her whole body shaking with anger and disbelief. “You… how could you do this?”

Reese just raised an eyebrow, her voice cool. “Do what, exactly? Sofia, you’re the bastard parading around as the Meyer family’s precious heiress. You’ve been living off everything that should’ve been mine. So tell me, why should I care what happens to the Meyer family?”

Bailey could see things were spiraling out of control. He took a steadying breath, fighting to keep his voice calm, and pulled out his phone. “I’m calling the lawyer now. Get a share transfer agreement ready as soon as possible. All the shares from the will that go to Reese, transfer them to her immediately. Bring the paperwork to Vista Tech right away.”

He hung up and fixed Reese with a look. “Is that enough for you? Will you fix the issue now?”

Reese shook her head and made her way to the sofa, sinking into the cushions. “We’ll talk after I sign the agreement.”

Hank clenched his fists, barely holding himself back. He wanted nothing more than to drag Reese over to the computer and force her to solve the platform problem right now.

Before he could move, Matthew stepped up, blocking his path. His stare was icy, his tone sharp. “Mr. Meyer, what exactly are you planning?”

Years in the military had given Matthew a presence that filled the room. Hank shrank back without thinking, his bravado gone in an instant. “Nothing. I’m not doing anything.”

He slunk over to stand beside Bailey, throwing a helpless glance at Sofia. Sofia watched her big brother, the one she’d always thought was unstoppable, flinch in front of Matthew. Disappointment flickered in her eyes.

She turned that dark look back to Reese. If Reese really got those shares, and if she fixed the problem and landed the Blade deal for Vista Tech, Bailey and Hank would start seeing her in a whole new light. That couldn’t happen.

She narrowed her eyes, mind racing. No way she’d let Reese walk away with this win.

“Mom, Reese is Blade’s technical lead. She used that to threaten Dad and got the shares her mom left her.

“But she didn’t say anything about having Dad reinvestigate her mom’s accident. Do you think she already knows something?”

Grace’s voice came through after a pause, calm as ever. “Why are you freaking out? Even if she suspects something, she has no proof. She was just a kid back then, what could she possibly remember? And don’t worry about Alex. I’ve already handled things with him. He won’t, and he doesn’t dare, tell Reese the truth.”

Grace sounded so sure, but Sofia’s nerves refused to settle. After hanging up, she slumped against the wall and closed her eyes.

What was she supposed to do now? How was she going to fix this?
