The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella) novel Chapter 1795

Mirabella let out a soft sigh, having heard Nick's spiel too many times on the drive over. She waved him off with a casual flick of her hand. "Yeah, yeah, Nick, I got it. Just go and draw your lot already."

Nick noticed his sister's laid-back attitude and felt the weight of his big brother worries even more. He stood and headed over to the elder for his turn at the drawing.

Mirabella didn't have to bother with the lot drawing, so she just slouched in her chair, looking as chill as ever.

Two seats over, Penelope got up too. Her black leather jacket added an extra edge to her already cool and confident air. She shot Mirabella a quick glance before going to draw her lot.

Mirabella felt her eyelid twitch slightly. She had a gut feeling that this fierce girl would end up being her opponent.

Sure enough, a couple of minutes later, the results came in: Penelope was up against Mirabella.

Meanwhile, Nick was set to face off with a member of the Davis family’s extended branch. Although his opponent was decent, Nick wasn't too bothered by him. His real concern was Penelope going against his sister.

If it had been someone else, Mirabella could’ve just thrown in the towel, but with Penelope... she probably wouldn’t even get the chance.

How could his sweet, gentle sister possibly hold her own against someone like Penelope?

Nick squeezed the slip of paper tightly and turned to Penelope. "My sister didn't grow up with the Davis family and hasn't been trained. You..."

Before he could finish, Penelope interrupted with a light chuckle. "You want me to take it easy on her?"

"I'll have my sister concede," Nick replied, meeting Penelope's eyes steadily.

Penelope's lips twisted into a slight smile. "Oh, but as a Davis, losing without a fight isn't an option. Do you really want your sister to be the butt of jokes here?"

Nick's face clouded over.

Mirabella just grinned, slipped off her jacket, and rolled up her sleeves to reveal her fair-skinned arms. "It's been a while since I've had a good workout."

Nick was left speechless, feeling like there was more to his sister than he knew.

By now, Penelope was already on the competition stage, her eyes locked onto Mirabella, chin lifted like a reigning champion.

"Miss Mira, it's your turn," someone called out to her.

Mirabella patted the still-stunned Nick on the shoulder, stood up, and casually walked forward before nimbly hopping onto the central stage.

She stood tall, facing Penelope.

This was Mirabella’s first time stepping into the spotlight in front of so many core members of the Davis family since her return, embracing her role as Miss Mira.
