Chapter 194
“Must have fallen out of love!”
Ronan lied.
He didn’t know why, but he didn’t want Jennifer to love Brayan, and he didn’t want Brayan to think that way either.
“Brayan already has a sister–in–law, she must have given up, besides, hasn’t she always wanted to divorce you, Brayan? It’s good to divorce, after that she, oh no, you will be free.”
Ronan thought he was being quite diplomatic, but when Brayan heard. it, his icy demeanor became even colder, and even Ronan’s horse wanted to stay away.
“Run two more laps with me.”
“It wasn’t Brayan…”
As soon as Ronan finished speaking, Brayan kicked the horse’s belly and rode off again.
In a remote bar.
Catalina and Devan were drinking.
“Thanks a lot for this. I don’t know what I would have done without
you.”
Catalina lowered her head, with a shy and timid expression on her face.
She knew Devan liked her this way the most.
Chapter 194
“You don’t have to be so polite with me. Now that I’m back, no one dares to bully you with me around.”
“Devan…”
Catalina turned to look at Devan, her big innocent eyes with makeup on looking very gentle.
“That Jennifer is so cunning, she’s about to get divorced but still trying to cheat shares from Brayan. If he doesn’t give her shares, she refuses. to divorce. Brayan is also foolish, luckily he has you as a wise helper.”
Devan reached out and gently stroked Catalina’s smooth, long hair.
Catalina blushed and shyly moved to the side a bit.
Devan smartly pulled his hand back.
He liked girls who were simple, kind, and loyal.
Because he had bipolar disorder, it was hard for him to control his violence, so fighting in high school was a regular thing.
He fell in love with Catalina at first sight.
He also knew that Catalina was head over heels for Brayan.
In high school, he once thought about forcibly taking Catalina away, but ended up making Catalina cry her eyes out.
Devan felt sorry for Catalina and didn’t want to ruin the good image of her in his heart.
So, he decided to be a good person, to fulfill Catalina’s love, and to make Catalina’s happiness his own happiness.
Devan felt like he could only find a moment of inner peace here in

Catalina.
“Devan, you’ve been so good to me, I really don’t know how to repay you.”
“As long as you are happy, that’s the best reward for me.
Devan really wanted to touch Catalina’s smooth face, but he felt like he was overstepping.
Catalina noticed Devan’s intention, blushed, and took the initiative to hold Devan’s hesitant hand in the air.
But this handshake only lasted for a brief moment before letting go.

Devan pushed his gold–rimmed glasses up and had the happiest smile on his face ever.
“If there’s anything you need me for in the future, just ask. I’ll do anything for you, no matter what.”
Catalina gave a sweet smile and shook her head, “It’s nothing, I’ve been busy with the exhibits at Treasure Jewelry Fashion Week recently, and Jennifer happens to be my competitor.”
After Jennifer healed her leg injury, she drove to Spring Nursing Home.
Emma was watering the flowers on the windowsill, and when she saw Jennifer, she smiled really happily.
“Jenny, come and take a look, the rose in our house bloomed so beautifully.”
Jennifer awkwardly tugged at the corner of her mouth and replied with a bitter smile, “Yeah, it’s all thanks to you, Mom.”

This pot of flowers, actually fake, plastic flowers.
Jennifer knew that Emma was sometimes clear–headed and sometimes. confused. She sat down and chatted with Emma, and as they talked, Emma brought up Brayan.
“Brayan is such a good kid. Last time I got lost, if it wasn’t for him finding me, I might have starved on the streets!”
“What?”
Jennifer was taken aback.
She looked at Emma, couldn’t tell the difference between Emma’s expression and when she was watering the fake flowers.
“Mom, you got it wrong. Last time you got lost, the police found you.”
Jennifer was in the hospital at the time, she wasn’t really sure about the details, but it was probably the police who found Emma.
No one ever told her it was Brayan who found Emma, and Brayan never said that himself.
“No, how could I be wrong, it’s Brayan,” Emma said confidently.
Jennifer couldn’t be bothered to argue with her mom either.
Emma was a patient, sometimes clear–headed, sometimes confused, mixing up two things in her memory and mistaking her imagination for reality.
So you can’t trust everything Emma says.
At least in this matter, Jennifer didn’t believe what Emma said.
