Later, it seemed that Ms. Cameron’s friend had forgotten to end her livestream. After she returned to the Williams estate, every word of her conversation with the family was broadcast live for all to hear.

Nicolle arched an eyebrow as he listened.

“Forgot to end the livestream?” A knowing, almost amused smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

He’d met Stella before. He knew perfectly well—forgetting to turn off a livestream wasn’t like her at all.

Inwardly, he thought, Looks like she’s really been pushed to the edge. Maybe this was the only way she could expose what’s happening.

Still, the Williams family’s greed was on full display. Bringing her back had nothing to do with family ties and everything to do with the shares she held in the family business.

With that in mind, Nicolle turned to his assistant. “Where’s Antoney?”

“Mr. Watson is currently in a meeting,” the assistant replied.

“Send word. Tell them to pause the meeting and have Antoney come see me,” Nicolle said.

The assistant’s surprise showed on her face. Was this gossip really so important? Important enough to interrupt a board meeting? But despite her doubts, she nodded and left to deliver the message.

It wasn’t long before Antoney arrived.

“Father, you wanted to see me?”

Nicolle gestured to the television mounted on the wall. “Come, listen to this.”

The worst of the Williams family’s argument had already aired. Now, the broadcast was playing a recording Joshua had shared.

Antoney immediately recognized Stella’s voice. His expression shifted. “That’s Star!”

Nicolle motioned for him to keep listening.

As Antoney heard Leonard’s sly denials, the family’s suspicions, their demands for Stella to prove herself, and even their attempts to use her shares as leverage, his hands curled into fists, knuckles white with anger.

When the recording ended, Antoney shot up from the sofa.
