Skyler and Jonathan still had work to take care of, so they left first.
Sellers, still recovering from his injuries, looked disheveled and worn. If he weren’t so worried about Aurora, he would never have shown up in his current state.
The moment he saw Leonard, Sellers’ gaze darkened.
If it hadn’t been for Leonard, he wouldn’t have been dragged into Foreman’s mess—or ended up in this miserable condition.
Leonard noticed him too, his own expression turning cold.
If it weren’t for Sellers’ footage, the Lerman Group’s stock wouldn’t have plummeted.
Even now, Leonard was still up to his neck dealing with the fallout, trying to clean up the disaster Sellers had triggered. Their enemies and competitors were all seizing the opportunity to make things worse.
The Lerman family’s fortune had lost billions in mere hours.
And it was all thanks to Sellers—the conniving bastard.
Both men felt a murderous resentment toward each other, but as heads of their respective families, neither let it show.
Without a word, they both averted their eyes.
Israel and Coleman, meanwhile, were entirely focused on Aurora and didn’t notice the tension crackling between the other two.
Coleman turned to Sellers. “Sellers, did Dr. Burton say when he could come and see Aurora?”
Sellers hesitated a moment before replying, “Grandfather’s off traveling the world—it’s not convenient for him to come back right now. But I’ve contacted my eldest brother. He’ll be here soon to treat Aurora.”
The truth, of course, was that Dr. Burton had refused flat out when he heard Aurora was hurt—he hadn’t hesitated for even a second, and didn’t care about Sellers’ reputation in the slightest.
Israel couldn’t help himself. “Aurora, you’re far too kind. The only reason you were kidnapped is because Stella misled those oil tycoons and financiers—made them think you were the one who hit their car that night.”
Aurora looked pale, her head shaved and even her eyebrows gone, making her appear almost comical.
But no one was laughing.
“Maybe… there’s been some kind of misunderstanding,” she said softly.
Israel wanted to argue, but Coleman cut him off.
“Aurora’s recovery is what matters most right now.”
Stella was slippery as an eel, nearly impossible to pin down. Even when she’d kidnapped Sellers, he’d had to swallow the insult and keep quiet—so there was no hope of catching her red-handed this time, either.

The same rotation blaming Stella trying to get her destroyed. Isn't the writer tired of writing the same foolishness overand over again? This is exhausting....
