The cabin air grew stifling. She closed her eyes briefly, pressed a hand to her chest for a few seconds, then returned to her book.

Maricela called across the aisle.

Maricela smiled sweetly, “Yes, what a coincidence!”

The flight attendant came over to serve, first asking about meals and drinks. Maricela handed back the small blanket provided on the plane to the attendant, “I don’t want this, please take it away.”
