Chapter 800: 313 two people are not like cousins, test result!_1
Wen Zhixia was visiting the doctoral building in Xinyao District for the first time.
The area wasn’t large and was quite remote, with no teaching buildings around; normally, other than the school’s own staff coming to clock in, there were hardly any passersby.
The café was also quiet.
As soon as Wen Zhixia arrived, she saw He Wen sitting opposite Bai Lian, the two of them discussing mathematical models in low voices.
She sat down next to Bai Lian.
“Hi,” He Wen was sitting across from her, with a silver laptop in front of him, his fingers resting on the touchscreen.
Wen Zhixia didn’t know He Wen, and she couldn’t understand most of the conversation between Bai Lian and him.
She simply held the coffee Bai Lian had ordered for her, with one hand on her knee and the other holding the coffee cup, watching Bai Lian interact with He Wen from the corner of her eye.
Outside the floor-to-ceiling window, a car marked with the institute’s special logo slowly came to a halt.
He Wen caught a glimpse of the car out of the corner of his eye, quickly finished his coffee, grabbed his laptop and notebook, and headed out the door, “I’ve got to go!”
It was only after he left that Wen Zhixia spoke to Bai Lian, “Who was that just now…”
“He Wen,” Bai Lian redirected his attention, recalling the matter at hand, “How is the hair dryer project progressing?”
“Yan Lu is taking promotional photos,” Wen Zhixia said, taking a sip of her hot coffee to suppress her excitement, “I’m just… worried if this project might affect her commercial value.”
Aside from leading the project, Wen Zhixia was also a fan of Yan Lu.
Having Yan Lu endorse an about-to-fail hairdryer simply wasn’t befitting of her status.
Wen Zhixia voiced her concerns, “Our hairdryer is too common and lacks renown. Yan Lu should be endorsing those international big brands…”
“It might not be that common,” Bai Lian said while picking up his coffee cup, his fingers tapping rhythmically on the side of the cup as he listened to Wen Zhixia.
“What do you mean?” Wen Zhixia was about to ask what was out of the ordinary.
But Bai Lian stretched out his hand and passed a piece of paper to Wen Zhixia, “Here, take this.”
Wen Zhixia reached out and took it.
It was an approximately fifty-centimeter-wide blueprint.

At the Chen Family’s residence.
Ren Wanxuan was standing outside the courtyard with the Dong Family, as Elder Dong was giving her instructions in a low voice, “After you go in, there’s no need to talk too much. I will speak on your behalf; just be bold, and even if you feel scared, don’t bow your head. The old master doesn’t like that.”
After repeatedly making sure Ren Wanxuan understood, Elder Dong led her in.
Inside Elder Chen’s tea room,
President Jian was brewing tea for Elder Chen. His movements were unhurried, and the rich tea poured smoothly from the spout—his demeanor exhibited a leisureliness that set him apart from others.
“You’ve improved a lot in your tea brewing,” Elder Chen remarked as he sipped from his cup, “Did she teach you?”
“She doesn’t have the patience to teach me. I learned by observing her,” said President Jian, glancing at the time. He then set down the teapot and stood up: “Elder Chen, I need to head back now.”
He had a class that evening.
As he left through the archway, he happened to run into several members of the Dong Family escorting Ren Wanxuan.
Elder Dong recognized President Jian and greeted him politely. Ren Wanxuan, standing beside him, looked up and gave President Jian an extra glance, feeling that he looked very familiar.
