Chapter 6 A Shocking Scene
The evening banquet was full of chatter. Because of Lindsey’s dress, many girls found common ground. They thus gathered together and started gossiping.
The birthday party gradually became more lively as people mingled. Some guests were already urging Jaelyn to cut the cake and make a wish.
Jaelyn walked up to Eliezer. “Eliezer, come cut the cake with me.”
Eliezer checked his watch, his face clouded over. “I’m going to look for Lindsey. You go cut it with Mrs. Oconnell first.”
Surprisingly, Eliezer was the first to think of Lindsey. A flash of malice crossed Jaelyn’s face.
She had originally planned to bring people upstairs to catch the scene. after cutting the cake. Yet since Eliezer brought it up earlier, it would work. They should be able to catch the most “intense” moment.
She smiled. “I almost forgot her. I’ll go with you. She might be upset because of the dress. I’ll help you explain.”
Eliezer was about to refuse, but after hearing this, he gave a brief nod and strode into the villa.
Watching his retreating figure, Jaelyn put on a face of resentment.
She glanced at a few of her close friends behind her, signaling them to follow.
A small group soon gathered.
Soon, the crowd arrived at Lindsey’s previous room.
The moment the door opened, everyone couldn’t help but hold their breath. People all instinctively looked at Eliezer.
Pieces of clothes were shattered across the floor. A man’s jacket, trousers, a shirt… Lindsey’s evening gown was now hanging on a privacy screen. Vague figures could be seen through the screen.
The sight of the room was already shocking, let alone the voices coming from behind the screen.
“Wow, you’re amazing! Yes, just like that!”
“My turn next! Don’t hog it!”
“No rush. No rush. One at a time. Take it slow.”
The crowd exchanged glances, already muttering to themselves.
The Oconnell’s adopted daughter really had guts! She was doing it on Jaelyn’s birthday party! From the sound, she did it with more than one man. Was she venting her anger because she had found out about Eliezer’s feelings for Jaelyn?
How bold!
The people present were all dumbfounded.
Just as everyone was still in shock, a man’s wail came from inside. “Why me again? I really can’t go on!”
Chills ran down everyone’s spines.
Damn, Lindsey was truly wild. Even two men together couldn’t satisfy her?
All eyes turned to Eliezer.
Jaelyn seized the moment to speak up. “Lindsey’s probably… maybe we should give her some privacy?”
Before she could finish, Eliezer’s face had already darkened. Without a word, he strode straight toward the screen.
As if he’d lost all reason, he raised his hand and ripped down the screen along with the dress hanging from it.
Bang!
The loud crash was followed by a long silence.
Even the crowd that had rushed in to watch the drama froze. Phones in hand, they were so stunned by the sight in front of them that they forgot to hit “record.”
Jaelyn pushed through the crowd. She hadn’t even stepped in when she said. “Lindsey, what are you doing? How could you do something like this here? You…”
Yet Jaelyn cut her own words off.
