Chapter 291 He Still Cares About Her
Marcelo pretended not to see anything.
“Tsk, that scheming girl is causing trouble again,” he muttered, glancing at his phone.
From what he knew about Amelia, there was no way she’d do anything like that.
It had to be Gianna, twisting things and picking out the juiciest parts to make Amelia look bad.
He figured it was because Gianna was bitter about not getting the company ambassador role.
So now, she was trying to drag Amelia down with her.
“Gosh, this is insane. If nobody stops Amelia, she might do even more wild stuff next!”
“Amelia can do what she wants, but now she’s dragging Patience into it too. That brat!”
“She’d better not ruin the Nygard Group with her messy life.”
Miguel and Maxwell saw the messages too and replied right away.
Maxwell was especially mad. Seeing his ex, the woman he once liked, letting gigolos serve her really set him off.
He saw that Marcelo wasn’t reacting. Probably because his ex, Isabel, wasn’t doing anything like that, so he could just chill.
Hmph, what a jerk!
At the Nygard Estate, Ursula and Thea saw the messages, but they didn’t react at all.
If it came from anyone else, they might’ve worried. But since it was Gianna, they didn’t believe a word.
“Ugh, why aren’t Miguel and Maxwell waking up yet? They’re still letting Gianna toy with them like idiots,” Thea grumbled, sipping tea with her mother.
“Emery and Raymond keep getting played by that adopted daughter. How can we expect their kids to be smarter?”
Just talking about it made Ursula angry.
A few days ago, Raymond came home for dinner, and she warned him about Gianna.
She wanted Gianna to move out, as Gianna was old enough to live on her own.
But Raymond refused, saying it’d be too harsh before she had a job or a family
Ursula straight–up told him that Gianna wasn’t innocent, but he didn’t believe her.
She was too old to argue or dig up proof anymore,

In the end, the talk ended badly, and nothing changed.
“Why can’t they be more like Marcelo? Look how sharp he is now.”
Thea thought Marcelo had gotten way smarter–definitely smarter than Miguel or Maxwell.
“Well, let’s see how they handle it on their own.”
Compared to all the Nygard drama, Jeremy stayed way more relaxed.
Though he usually looked calm, he frowned during the meeting.
He whispered something to his assistant, stood up, and walked right out of the conference room.
Everyone else had been tense, barely able to breathe.
Once he left, they finally felt some relief.
Jeremy had his earphones in, so nobody knew what he’d seen or why he left so fast.
Maybe a project had gone wrong?
He left the company and drove straight to Amelia.
Figuring out who sent that random video wasn’t his priority.
Still, he could guess it had to be one of Amelia’s jealous haters.
He had a pretty good idea where she’d be and arrived fast.
That girl’s really gone bad–she actually went out with her friends to call gigolos.
I just turn my back for a second, and she’s already going off the rails.
Jeremy’s main worry, though, was someone trying to ruin her reputation.
Why else would anyone send that video anonymously?
He knew it wasn’t just meant for him.
Until he saw it with his own eyes, he couldn’t calm down.
Meanwhile, Amelia sipped her drink, watching her friends laugh, drink, and flirt with the gigolos.
She had no idea that in a short time, a scheming woman had already made a trivial matter public.
“Vincent, I told you a long time ago. Amelia isn’t as perfect as you think. Now do you get it?”
Gianna made sure Vincent heard that loud and clear.
There was no way she’d forget to tell him something that big.
He was her fiancé now, and she wasn’t letting him fixate on any other girl.

So, she stretched the truth about Amelia, painting her in the worst light.
Her goal was to crush the perfect image Vincent had of Amelia.
But she hadn’t expected him to get so fired up that he wanted to confront Amelia immediately.
What did he mean? Did he still care about that bitch?
