293 Slaps
Feeling extra smug, Gianna added, “Amelia, I didn’t even want to come here. I was just worried about”
Smack!
Gianna didn’t get to finish. A loud slap landed on her cheek, freezing her in shock.
It took her a moment to realize what had just happened.
Amelia had actually slapped her!
You–How dare you hit me?!” Gianna held her check, completely stunned.
“I already did. Why ask if I dare?”
Amelia smirked and slapped her again. “Let me show you exactly how much I dare.”
Gianna looked stunned, like someone had smacked her head instead of her face. She just stood there, frozen.
And it wasn’t only her–Vincent was also totally thrown off.
Since when did Amelia turn so aggressive?
She’d just slapped someone right in front of him, and that person was his fiancée.
Was she jealous, or just trying to humiliate him?
Before he could even sort out his thoughts, Gianna burst into tears beside him.
“Vincent, did you see that? Amelia doesn’t even realize she’s the problem, and now she’s hitting me like some kind of thug! Are you really just gonna stand there?
“Are you even my fiancé anymore? If you don’t care, I’ll go talk to Diana!”
Gianna was furious. She’d just been slapped by that bitch and humiliated right in front of Vincent.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to hit back. She was barely holding herself together.
First of all, she knew she couldn’t win. Amelia once knocked Marcelo flat. What chance did she, a weak girl, have?
Second, Vincent was standing right there, Gianna didn’t want to look like some psycho throwing punches in front of him.
No way she was gonna fall for that trap. She wouldn’t make a scene and let Vincent see her lose control.
She didn’t want to mess with Amelia, but she was scared Amelia might go tell Emery or get her brothers involved to stir up trouble.
“Amelia, can’t we just talk? Why’d you hit her like that? If something’s bothering you, tell me. I’ll help figure

it out.”
Vincent had no option but to step in and cool things down.
“My thoughts? Simple. I wanted to hit her, so I did. What are you gonna do about it?”
“You-”
Her words instantly ticked him off.
“Vincent, see her attitude? Is she mad because I took her spot as your fiancée?”
Gianna wouldn’t drop it. She thought Vincent was being way too soft on Amelia.
She switched back to her usual weak, helpless act, pretending.to be hurt again.
But Vincent, already frustrated, snapped.
“If you think you stole the spot, then give it back!”
He regretted it as soon as he said it. He’d been too quick, too honest, and way too blunt.
Now Gianna felt completely humiliated.
She couldn’t believe Vincent actually played along with her little show and said something like that.
Did he really not want her as his fiancée? Was he still obsessed with Amelia?
The more she thought about it, the worse she felt. Gianna was angry, embarrassed, and so uncomfortable that it was like something heavy was stuck in her chest.
She felt miserable and completely lost.
Patience and Josie, who had been quietly watching everything, suddenly burst out laughing.
“This is funny! Can you two take your drama somewhere else?”
“If you’re gonna dump each other or keep acting, tell the director to write a new script!”
“Seriously, we’re not here to watch your love meltdown.”
Their teasing only made things more awkward for Vincent and Gianna, making them feel even smaller.
It was obvious their relationship was falling apart.
Vincent regretted ever ending things with Amelia. Even more, he regretted listening to his mother and getting engaged to Gianna.
Gianna was also starting to regret everything. What kind of bastard had she chosen?
She’d worked so hard, planned every move, and tried to make everything perfect.
She thought she’d found the ideal man, who was smart, capable, and impressive.

Gianna even felt a little proud, imagining she could flaunt it in her social circle. She pictured dealing Amelia a crushing blow, making her miserable, or even breaking her.
But in the end? She was the one who got hurt.
The whole room went quiet, the air thick with tension. Even the gigolos didn’t dare make a sound.
“That’s enough. Let’s stop here.”
Things had gone too far, and Vincent didn’t want to argue anymore.
He tried to shut it all down and turned to Amelia.
“Amelia, come with me. Don’t hang around these people. It’ll just ruin your name.”
