Chapter 308 Harming Others Always Backfires!
“Mr. Jeremy, I’ve already had people hire trolls to spread rumors online that Gianna was trying to slander Ms. Amelia.”
“Good job,” Jeremy replied, clearly pleased,
These women were only useful as pawns; he couldn’t think of any other purpose for them.
Just seeing her miserable face killed his appetite.
Now, online gossip was boiling over once again.
“The truth is out! I knew there had to be a twist!”
“Did you all see? It’s that old troublemaker stirring things up again; she’s everywhere!”
“She’s just jealous of Amelia because she’s the real daughter of the Nygards. She’s scared of losing her place!”
“The Nygards must be blind to treat their adopted daughter better than their own!”
“Get Gianna out of the entertainment industry already. She’s so annoying!”
Everyone jumped in, and their words could tear Gianna down.
Nygard Residence.
“Gianna, did you really do this? I know Amelia can be rebellious, but you shouldn’t go this far to hurt your sister.”
Emery had already heard about the situation and felt a bit upset.
Even though she had favored her adopted daughter a little over the past two years, Amelia was still her own flesh and blood.

She couldn’t just stand by and watch her own daughter get insulted without doing anything.
After all, this mess was caused by her adopted daughter’s schemes; how could she not feel heartbroken?
“Mom, it’s not like that! I would never do something like this!
“I just happened to see Amelia being led astray by Patience and the others, so I recorded a video and told you about it.

“I didn’t intentionally leak those videos to the media! If I wanted to do that, I wouldn’t have waited until now!
“Someone must have hacked my phone or leaked it to create a rift between me and Amelia.” Gianna was crying and playing the victim, a skill she had mastered long ago.
Now she would never admit to anything.
She knew she was being dragged through the mud, criticized more harshly than ever.
Harming others always backfires!
Gianna didn’t understand this lesson at all, nor did she want to.
She seemed completely used to being hated and criticized, almost immune to it.
She thought that being infamous was still a form of fame; besides, her real mother didn’t want her in the entertainment industry anymore.
But she couldn’t let Emery or her brothers believe she was behind this.
The Nygards had to spoil her for life, always revolving around her. They could never discover who she really was.
“Yeah, people online can be cruel. They’d start a storm over anything.”
“Keep this in mind, Amelia is always my biological daughter. She belongs to the Nygards. She’s your sister. You two have to care for each other.”
Although Emery didn’t show any change in her expression, doubts began to creep into her mind.
She felt a mix of emotions.
Even though her relationship with Amelia was strained, she would always be her daughter- that was undeniable.
“Don’t worry, Mom. I want to get along with Amelia more than anyone else!”
Gianna replied sweetly, but her heart had already turned cold.
Her real mother, Regina, often said she needed to deal with Emery quickly.
But she always hesitated, thinking her adoptive mother still had some use.
Emery had been so good to her, almost to the point of being overly compliant. Gianna didn’t

But no matter how she tried to ignore it, the difference between a biological and an adopted daughter was always there. Even now, Emery still wanted to reconcile with Amelia!
Isn’t having a devoted daughter like me enough?
Some hearts just can’t be warmed.
If this went on, she figured that one day she’d end up taking her mother’s advice and going after Emery first.
Aruthless glint flashed in Gianna’s eyes for an instant, then vanished.
“Okay, just keep thinking that way,” Emery nodded, satisfied.
At least this adopted daughter was sensible and obedient. Every time she dropped a hint, Gianna caught on immediately.
If her biological daughter could be half as sensible, maybe she wouldn’t have to value her adopted daughter so highly.
Sometimes Emery felt that her biological daughter took advantage of being a part of the Nygards, believing she could resist without ever being truly cast aside.
Otherwise, how could she feel so at ease, coming and going as she pleased?
It was infuriating!
Meanwhile, Maxwell was equally furious.
“Amelia has gone too far! Just look at how she’s led Patience astray!
“Did you hear the nonsense she told the media? Saying things like ‘enjoy what’s in front of you while keeping an eye on what’s next, and leaving men with nowhere to turn!“”
“Who even talks like that? Is that something a person would say? No–there’s no way a woman could actually say that!”
