The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia) novel Chapter 320

Chapter 320 Chose Amelia to Replace Gianna

“No, that’s not what I meant. I just meant that different herbs need different amounts of water. Some … um, some need the soil to keep moist, and also…”

Gianna’s words were already falling apart. She didn’t sound as confident as before.

Everyone there could tell something was wrong. Even Vincent could tell something was off.

He rolled his eyes, wishing he could take back the bit of respect he’d felt for her earlier.

Then his eyes moved to Amelia, standing not far away.

Amelia and Gianna were complete opposites-like night and day.

Regret filled Vincent’s heart. He hated himself for not valuing Amelia when he had the chance.

He honestly couldn’t stand Gianna, this fool, anymore!

Once this show was over, he would call off their engagement no matter what!

“All right, Gianna, if you’re not feeling well, don’t push yourself. Let Amelia continue. She knows this stuff

too.”

Even Miguel had to help her save face somehow.

Who could’ve thought she’d mess up the same way again?

Just a while

ago,

he’d praised Gianna in front of everyone.

Now, the harder he’d brag, the more embarrassing it felt.

Fans went wild online once more.

[Wow, what a drama queen. Bet she doesn’t know what to say, so she’s pretending to feel sick again.]

[If you don’t understand something, just admit it! Why try to show off? Why not stay quiet like Ms. Jordan over there?]

[Even her brother couldn’t take it. He just gave her a weak excuse to get out of it.]

At the Nygard Residence, Marcelo watched the broadcast, a smug, “told-you-so” grin spreading across his face.

Miguel had fallen for Gianna’s act twice now-the same mistake both times. Marcelo wondered how he felt about it.

If he still hasn’t woken up to it, I’d just wring his neck!

“What’s happening? Isn’t Gianna supposed to be studying this stuff? She was fine just a moment ago. Why’s she suddenly tripping over her words?”

Emery, who had nothing better to do, was watching too. She frowned in confusion.

“Who knows. Maybe she cheated before and messed it up this time,” Marcelo said carelessly.

“Marcelo, don’t say that! Gianna wasn’t reading anything. Nobody was feeding her answers. How could that be cheating?”

Maxwell frowned, clearly puzzled by his adopted sister’s behavior, but he still stood up for her out of habit.

“Fine, fine. Then why don’t you go there and speak up for her?” Marcelo said.

Maxwell shot back, “How could I jump in now? Marcelo, what’s with your attitude lately-especially toward Gianna?”

The two brothers were about to argue when Emery spoke up sharply, stopping them.

“Enough already. It’s just a show. Why are you two getting so worked up?”

After all, Gianna never planned to be an entertainer. So what if this looked bad?

They still had the Nygards to protect her.

“I can’t watch this anymore,” Marcelo said, then went upstairs.

His younger brothers acted this clueless, and their mother wasn’t

He worried the whole Nygards might fall apart.

He really hoped their father was still thinking clearly.

any better.

Gianna never thought Miguel would say that-asking Amelia to take over her spot.

That felt like a hard slap to her pride.

Of all people, he had chosen Amelia to replace her.

The more Gianna thought about it, the more upset she became. Feeling bitter, she glared at Sabrina, who had stayed quiet the whole time.

“Ms. Jordan, you know a lot about this, too. Why don’t you explain it to everyone?

“I bet you could do even better than anyone else here, right?”

She asked on purpose, trying to pull Sabrina in so Amelia wouldn’t get all the attention.

Amelia let out a cold, mocking laugh. She wanted to see just how long Gianna could keep pretending.

“Sure,” Sabrina said when she was called on.

She really did know this stuff well. Everything Gianna had stumbled over earlier-Sabrina could’ve explained it without even thinking.

After going over the theory, she showed everyone how to plant rare herbs and what details to pay attention

She gently lifted a tiny seedling, held it between her fingers, and showed how to dig a small hole in the soil at just the right depth.

She explained that rare herbs are delicate and only grow if the temperature and humidity are just right.

Her actions were smooth and steady, clearly showing lots of experience. It made Gianna’s stiff and awkward movements look even worse.

The guests and people watching online couldn’t help but praise Sabrina for being smart and skilled, even though she didn’t try to show off.

Watching Sabrina’s calm and confident demonstration, Gianna could already feel the comparisons coming.

If she had to suffer, she’d make sure others suffered too-especially Amelia.

A glint flashed in her perfectly made-up eyes.

Then, pretending to be casual, she said, “Ms. Jordan really has it all-smart and beautiful. No wonder she’s Mr. Curran’s fiancée.”
