The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia) novel Chapter 347

Chapter 347 Talk With Raymond

Back then, he’d called a couple of times just for show, and then he never called again.

Now he called, and Amelia’s response was the same as always.

“If you’re calling about the shares, don’t waste your time.”

There was no way those idiots would ever ruin her grandpa’s hard work.

She was planning to team up with Elian and slowly take over Nygard Group herself.

Otherwise, Amelia was sure it would end up in Regina’s hands.

Regina’s plan was clear now-she was slowly infiltrating Nygard Group, aiming to tear it out by the roots.

“Don’t worry, it’s not about that. I just want to grab a meal and chat with you.”

“Chat? Just the two of us?” Amelia couldn’t help laughing.

She didn’t think they were close enough to eat together.

She had blocked him without a second thought. Why would they need to chat?

“And I do have something to say. You’ve been looking into Regina, right? I’ll send you the location-come over so we can talk in detail.”

Raymond sounded sure she’d show. After that, he hung up.

Not long after, he sent the address, location, and time.

Amelia was still surprised by his last remark.

He knew she was investigating Regina-and seemed aware of what she’d found out.

No wonder Emery found nothing, only to be left in the dark again.

Looks like Raymond had a hand in that, too.

As he expected, Amelia ended up showing up at the private room he’d booked.

“Amelia, it’s not easy to get you to join me for a meal. I’m glad you came.”

Seeing his daughter, Raymond smiled genuinely.

He even stood up to hand her utensils and had a full table of dishes ordered for her.

Amelia noticed how different he was acting and felt even more suspicious. She just watched him without showing anything.

“These are all your favorites. Eat more. You’ve lost weight.”

Every dish on the table was clearly what Amelia loved to eat.

Chapter 347 Talk With Raymond

Only someone who really knew her and cared enough to remember could do that

Even so, Amelia felt nothing.

She wasn’t the little girl anymore who could be moved by a piece of candy.

The hurt the Nygards caused ran deeper than anything they could do for her now. She felt nothing.

No matter what this family tried to do, Amelia knew she wouldn’t be moved.

It was all too late.

“Just get to the point. No need for all this extra stuff.”

Amelia crossed her arms, leaned back in her chair, and looked at him like she didn’t care.

“Amelia, I know you’re still mad at me, your mom, and your brothers, but we’re still family. We shouldn’t hold grudges.”

“If you keep wasting my time, I’m leaving.” Amelia was losing patience.

She had no hope left for family bonds. She hadn’t come to listen to him ramble.

If he hadn’t mentioned Regina, she wouldn’t have shown up at all.

When she snapped at him, Raymond stopped the small talk and just looked at her for a while.

He pressed his lips together and stayed quiet.

After a while, he pulled something small out of his pocket.

“This is a signal jammer and anti-eavesdropping device. No one will hear us.”

Amelia knew a lot about jammers and anti-surveillance gear.

She just hadn’t expected that he’d know about them too.

“So…someone’s been watching you?”

It was meant as a casual jab, but he nodded seriously.

“For more than ten years now.”

His answer caught her off guard.

“Well, that’s not something you need to worry about.”

Raymond looked at his daughter, his voice low and serious.

“Stop looking into Regina. She’s way more complicated than you think.”

“Why? Because of you and Regina? Afraid Mrs. Nygard or someone else will find out?”

Amelia knew there had to be more to it than that, but she couldn’t help taunting him a little.

“If only it were that simple.” Raymond shook his head helplessly.

He looked nothing like his usual self.

FINTOMA,

It was like someone who seemed simple but was actually sharp.

Amelia’s curiosity only grew as she stared at him.

“There’s a huge force behind Regina. They’re deeply connected and have a major influence in many fields.”
