Chapter 70 The Mistress Exposed
“Aunt Thea, don’t worry. I’ll handle this.” Amelia held her cold hand, her voice soft but steady.
Thea’s fingers shook as she clung to her. “It’s worse than that. He… he wants my shares in Nygard Group.”
Amelia’s eyes turned icy. “He wouldn’t dare.”
Thea shut her eyes in pain. “He said I failed to give the Pearsons a son. So he found another woman. Their boy is already five.”
Thea had suspected something before. But guilt weighed on her. After giving birth to Demi, her health was ruined. No matter how she tried, she couldn’t get pregnant again.
So for years, she turned a blind eye.
Maybe that constant stress was why her health kept failing.
But she never thought Bryant would strike while she was down.
“Aunt Thea, rest now.” Amelia patted her hand gently, then turned to Demi. “Demi, make some soothing tea for her.”
After Thea drank the tea and fell asleep, Amelia looked at Demi. “Since your father wants a divorce, tell him to come back. How else is he planning to end this?”
Demi twisted her fingers, biting her lip. “Amelia, Dad’s already back. He’s at a hotel. He said he hired a lawyer. All Mom has to do is sign.”
Amelia let out a cold laugh. “Dream on.”
Relief flickered in Demi’s eyes.
With Amelia here, she wasn’t afraid.
“Do you know where he’s staying?” Amelia asked.
“Starluxe Hotel, suite 1808,” Demi answered.
The moment Bryant got back, he forced Thea into a divorce.
A cold glint flashed in Amelia’s eyes. “Perfect. Time to settle old scores and new ones together.”
“Amelia, I’m coming with you,” Demi said angrily. “I want to see what kind of woman made him treat Mom like this!”

All her life, she had believed Bryant was just too busy. She never imagined it was because of his daughter.
He had always favored sons over daughters.
Amelia nodded. She was determined to fight for Thea and make things right.
By the next day, Thea was awake and calmer.
She squeezed Amelia’s hand, her voice weak but firm. “Amelia, this time I won’t stop you. I’ve been too soft all these years.”
Amelia’s grip tightened. “Rest, Aunt Thea. Today I’ll make Bryant answer for this.”
At ten in the morning, Amelia and Demi arrived at Starluxe Hotel.
They took the elevator to the 18th floor.
Standing at the door of suite 1808, Amelia drew a deep breath and rang the bell.
“Who is it?” Bryant’s impatient voice came from inside.
“Room service,” Amelia said, lowering her tone.
The door opened. Bryant froze when he saw them. “You–what are you doing here?”
Amelia smirked. “Having fun, Bryant?”
Her eyes swept the room. A woman clutched a small boy in panic. “So this is your mistress and bastard child?”
Amelia shoved the door open and walked in with Demi.
“This is why you want Aunt Thea out with nothing?” Amelia sneered, her eyes sweeping over the woman and her child again.
Bryant’s face burned with shame and fury. “Get out! This is my private business!”
Amelia pushed the door shut with one hand. “Mr. Pearson, calm yourself.”
She waved her phone. On the screen were photos of him with his mistress.
Jeremy had gotten them last night. Not the cleanest methods, but effective.
Bryant’s face went stone gray. “What do you want?”

Amelia stepped closer. “Simple. First, Aunt Thea will divorce you, but she keeps every penny that belongs to her. Second, her shares in Nygard Group have nothing to do with you. Third-”
Her gaze cut toward the trembling woman. “Stay away from Aunt Thea. Forever.”
“You’re dreaming!” Bryant roared. “It’s all mine!”
“All yours? You’ve got some nerve. Without Aunt Thea’s skill, the Pearsons would’ve gone bankrupt years ago.” Amelia’s laugh cut sharp and cold.
Thea had inherited Conrad’s true gift. She had an exceptional talent for business.
“If it hadn’t been for Aunt Thea saving the company back then, the Pearson Group would’ve been torn apart by your greedy relatives. And now look at you–no gratitude at all, just trying to throw her out on the street?” Amelia’s voice was sharp and icy.
Bryant’s face turned purple with rage, veins standing out on his forehead. “Amelia, don’t push me! This is between husband and wife!”
“Husband and wife?” Amelia’s lip curled. “You flaunt a mistress and a child out of wedlock, and you still dare say that?”
She yanked a thick stack of papers from her bag and flung them at his face. They smacked against his cheek with a sharp crack. “Take a good look. See how much you owe Aunt Thea!”
Amelia only had to snap her fingers, and she could strip Bryant bare..
