The Heiress’s Second Chance at Vengeance
Chapter 152 You, Me, and the Fanfic
The moment Colton read that scene, he nearly crushed Lewis’s phone in his grip.
Finished
Lewis let out a helpless sigh. “It’s actually really well–written. Shame I’ve been following it for half a year and the author still hasn’t finished it–even after graduation.”
“Lewis! Go to hell!”
Colton gritted his teeth. “This is what you do in class? Read this garbage? You’re a grown man reading BL fanfiction? What is wrong with your brain–did someone slam your head in a door?! It’s disgusting, and you’re disgusting me!”
“Colton, calm down…”
“Shut up! Don’t call me Colton ever again!”
Colton’s expression was stormy. “And don’t you dare sleep in the same bed with me ever again either!”
Hearing that, Eliza’s eyes lit up like she’d just uncovered some groundbreaking discovery. “Same bed?”
Lewis deliberately stepped up to Colton, lightly patted his shoulder, and said with exasperation, “Colton, you can’t say things like that. People will get the wrong idea.”
Eliza watched the scene play out in front of her and sucked in a sharp breath.
Wasn’t Lewis the one making things sound suspicious?
“Boarding time. Can you two cut the gossip already?” Henry stepped forward and grabbed Eliza’s arm. “Eliza, ignore them. I’ll take you to the board.”
Behind them, Colton was still going off on Lewis, complete with family insults for extra emphasis.
Nolan just silently followed after Eliza.
Elsewhere.
Naomi had finally received her university admission letter. But the moment she saw the name of the school–a completely average second–tier university–her heart sank.
“Mom, you’ve got to do something. I have to go to the best one, you know it!”
She’d rather die than end up at a college like that.
Evelyn hadn’t expected Naomi to bomb her exams this badly either.
She’d thought that in the worst–case scenario, Naomi would still make it into a first–tier school. Who could’ve guessed she’d screw up so badly she didn’t even make that cutoff?
“It’s okay. I’ll figure something out. Just don’t let your dad find out yet. If he does, this’ll get a lot messier.”

Naomi nodded frantically.
Finished
Evelyn thought for a moment, then said, “Eliza scored really well this time–she might get into a good school without even going abroad. Didn’t she have an overseas scholarship offer? I’ll call the school and see if we can take it off her hands. Whatever it costs, I’ll pay.”
Naomi’s eyes lit up with hope.
Evelyn quickly dialed the homeroom teacher.
The teacher understood her meaning right away–and was shocked that the Rivers family still had the audacity to try pulling strings like this. She finally responded, her tone apologetic but firm.
“Ma’am, I understand where you’re coming from, but I’m afraid that won’t be possible.”
“What do you mean it’s not possible? I don’t believe money can’t solve this! Call your principal. Tell him to name a price.”
“I’m really sorry, but Eliza already called me. She’s been admitted to Claire University. She agreed to give up her scholarship spot–but she chose someone else, not Naomi.”
Evelyn’s face went pale. “What did you say? Eliza got into Claire University? That’s impossible!”
“I’m sorry, Mrs. Rivers. I’ve got other calls to take. I’ll have to hang up now.”
And with that, the teacher ended the call.
Evelyn stared at her phone in disbelief. For a moment, she thought she’d misheard.
“Mom, what did you just say? Eliza got into Claire University? How is that even possible? Isn’t that school only for the children of top–tier billionaires?”
Naomi couldn’t believe someone like Eliza had gotten in.
“No idea what tricks that girl pulled to make it happen! Claire University? She doesn’t belong there!”
Evelyn’s expression grew darker. “She must’ve used our name. Leaned on our family’s reputation to get in. Say what you will, but the Rivers‘ name still means something in Westbrook. That girl keeps going on about cutting ties with us–yet she’s clearly using our background!”
