Chapter 170 Not One of Them

“Eliza! Are you threatening me? What the hell do you want?!”

“I want you to answer my question.”

Eliza’s tone turned sharp, her eyes flashing with fury.

Evelyn visibly flinched.

“I… I…”

She stammered, but her eyes flickered unconsciously toward Nolan.

Noticing the glance, Nolan’s expression darkened.

Evelyn finally blurted, “I saw it through Claire University’s admissions office, okay? It’s not a big deal–why are you making such a scene?”

“She’s right, Eliza,” Naomi jumped in. “If Dad comes back and sees this mess, he’ll be furious!”

“You think I care whether he’s mad or not?”

Eliza sneered coldly.

She’d stopped valuing the Rivers family’s so–called affection a long time ago.

Naomi put on her most pitiful face. “I know you’re mad at Mom and Dad, but you’re still part of this family. Just apologize and let’s forget this. We can still be a family.”

She looked toward Nolan. “Nolan, we’re all classmates. Can’t you talk some sense into her? If this blows up, there’ll be no way to fix it! And you barging into our home with a group of bodyguards–what if the cops get involved? Eliza clearly doesn’t care about the trouble she’s causing you!”

She thought she could shake Nolan’s loyalty.

Instead, Nolan turned to her with a frosty glare that sent a chill down Naomi’s spine. She instantly shrank

back.

Then Nolan looked at Eliza–his gaze gentle in contrast. “Whatever happens to the Rivers family today, I’ll take care of it. Don’t hold back. Do what you have to.”

That single sentence gave Eliza all the confidence she needed.

“Thanks.”

She gave his shoulder a light pat, then spun and smashed the fridge with her baton.

The kitchen, the bay windows–nothing was safe. Shrieks echoed through the house as she wreaked havoc.

Evelyn tried to rush in to stop her but was blocked by the guards.

Naomi didn’t even try–terrified Eliza might hit her by accident.

By the time Eliza finally stopped, the first floor was a disaster zone. She was drenched in sweat, but the feeling was satisfying.

“You–you monster! Do you know how much those things cost?! That vase was priceless! I’m calling the police!”

Evelyn was in tears, having watched Eliza destroy all her precious collectibles–antiques, ceramics she had imported personally–shattered to bits. If Eliza could’ve reached the chandelier, that would be gone too.

At that moment, Nathan walked in.

He froze.

His expression twisted in horror as he surveyed the wreckage.

“What the hell is this?! Who let you into

my house?!”

His voice faltered when he saw the guards standing behind Eliza.

“Darling, this is your precious daughter! A criminal! I told you we shouldn’t have let her stay all those years ago! Now she’s rich and thinks she can stomp all over us!”

“What?!”

Nathan blinked, clearly not up to speed.

Eliza stepped forward. “Since you’re here, let’s get everything out in the open.”

Naomi and Evelyn instantly retreated behind him.

Then Eliza looked her father dead in the eye and asked, one word at a time: “Am I… really the Rivers family’s daughter?”

The room fell dead silent.

Nathan’s face darkened further.
