The Heiress’s Second Chance at Vengeance
Chapter 312 The Dinner That Never Happened
There was no way dinner was still an option.
They had a high–profile jewelry gala to attend that evening.
“Mr. Hayes, you should reconsider. Tonight’s-”
Before the agent could finish, Soren shot him a cold, silencing glare.
The agent immediately swallowed his words. He knew better than to cross his boss.

Eliza noticed the tension right away. She turned to Soren and said, “I just remembered I’ve got something. important to take care of. Let’s skip dinner tonight. Just drop me off anywhere convenient, and text me another day when you’re free.”
Soren understood. It was obvious the agent had said too much.
But he didn’t push. “Alright. Let’s call it off for now. Just message me whenever–it doesn’t matter when.”
“Okay.”
Eliza nodded.
The agent finally exhaled in relief.
At least this Eliza girl wasn’t the clingy type.
The car pulled up to the curb, and Eliza stepped out at a random spot.
She felt a bit guilty. She should’ve thought it through–Soren was a celebrity, his schedule packed.
She shouldn’t have casually offered to treat him to dinner. It might’ve disrupted his work.
Inside the car.
The agent quickly handed Soren a change of clothes. “Mr. Hayes, please get changed. The jewelry gala-”
But before he could finish, Soren’s cold gaze landed on him again.
It was nothing like the warmth he’d shown Eliza earlier.
That look alone sent a chill down the agent’s spine.
“Cancel the gala. Take me home.”
Soren’s tone left no room for negotiation.
The driver didn’t dare argue.
Soren was the boss–what he said went.
“Mr. Hayes…”

“I’ve told you more than once: remember your place. Who gave you permission to speak in front of Eliza?”
The pressure radiating off Soren made the agent drop his gaze immediately.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Hayes… Loverstepped.”
The agent had only meant well. That jewelry gala was a prime opportunity to land a high–end endorsement deal.
The whole company had worked hard to secure that invite.
But Soren had turned it down like it meant nothing.
He leaned back against the seat, eyes closed.
He’d been looking forward to this dinner for days.
Eliza had finally offered to treat him tonight–and the agent had ruined it with one careless comment.
“Get me the most advanced synthetic bio–skin available overseas.”
“But that stuff’s banned here. Isn’t it too risky?”
A top celebrity like Soren bringing contraband into the country would definitely make headlines.
Soren’s voice dropped cold. “If you can’t handle this, you can hand in your resignation.”
Faced with that threat, the agent didn’t dare argue.
The cost of the synthetic skin wasn’t the problem–it was the legality. Importing it was complicated and risky.
What he didn’t understand was, why did Mr. Hayes suddenly want bio–skin?
Meanwhile, Naomi had returned to the Hartwell estate.
Nathaniel had spent the past few days lost in indulgence. Brody had sent him waves of women–new ones every day..
All of them were highly skilled in different ways.
Nathaniel was too busy enjoying himself to think of anything else.
The moment Naomi stepped inside, the women noticed her face.
One of them–the same woman who had whipped Naomi–stared at her in disbelief.
