The Heiress’s Second Chance at Vengeance
Chapter 352 The Enemy of My Enemy
Matteo’s grip was crushing.
Elaine couldn’t even catch her breath.
“If you report this,” Matteo said coldly, “you’ll be the last member of the Lynn family left alive. That’s a promise.”
Elaine saw it then–undiluted menace in Matteo’s eyes.
Fear rippled through her body. She couldn’t move a muscle.
“Matteo, don’t really take it that far. As long said calmly.
se confirmed the evidence is gone, that’s enough,” Eliza
Now that Elaine had no proof, the matter of the weapons wouldn’t get leaked.
“Eliza! Don’t act so damn righteous!” Elaine snapped, her voice full of hate. “If you hadn’t stolen Nolan from me, I would’ve never gone this far! And now, just for Matteo, you’re letting Nolan take that kind of risk? You’re vicious!”
Eliza remained composed. “You did all of this for Nolan, right? So, by your logic, doesn’t that make him just as vicious? You were willing to slit your wrists, spy on his contracts, and threaten people to get your way–all for Nolan. You chose that path. Don’t go blaming other people for your own sins.”
She turned to Matteo. “Let’s go. There’s nothing here.”
“Hold on.”
Matteo lifted a hand, signaling the bodyguards at the door to come in.
They all carried stun batons–clearly Matteo’s own men, not just random muscle.
“I don’t like loose ends,” Matteo said coldly. “Sorry, Ms. Elaine.”
At his word, the guards began smashing everything suspicious in the room.
Elaine’s face slowly twisted in horror.
Matteo didn’t bat an eye.
He’d done this sort of thing too many times to care,
If Elaine hadn’t been the Lynn family’s daughter, protected by the Hayes family, she’d already be dead.
Once everything was destroyed, Matteo stood over her where she lay on the floor, trembling.
“If any of those photos get out,” he said, “and I find out about it… you’ll end up just like everything else in
this house.”
Boom.
He mimed the explosion with a gesture–clear, deliberate.
Elaine had never experienced anything like this before. She was paralyzed on the ground.
Chapter 352 The Enemy of My Enemy
Matteo’s men showed no mercy. In no time, they’d torn through everything that could pose a risk.
And there’d be no compensation–not a cent.
Even Eliza, watching from the side, had to admit she was outmatched.
Matteo was a man who wore politeness like a mask. Underneath, he was pure darkness–no heart, no soul
By the time Elaine regained her senses, her bedroom was in ruins.
At the door, a maid stood frozen, too scared to speak.
Trembling, the maid asked, “Ms. Elaine… what should we do now? Should I contact Mr. Hayes? Let him handle this?”
Elaine was Nolan’s fiancée. How could she let herself be humiliated like this without calling on him?
“N–No… don’t call Nolan. Go get Tyson!”
The maid blinked in shock.
She hadn’t expected her young mistress to call Tyson instead of Nolan in a crisis.
“But… but Mr. Nolan and Mr. Tyson, they…”
Everyone in Westbrook knew that Nolan and Tyson were locked in a power struggle for control of the Hayes family.
Outwardly, they maintained the appearance of a cordial uncle–nephew relationship.
Behind the scenes, they were locked in a brutal war.
“I told you to go! Since when did I allow backtalk?”
Elaine no longer believed Nolan would help her.
He was willing to break off their engagement før Eliza.
